I know most of you here are webmasters, so, as webmasters, what would you prefer ads that stick out but produce great results (money) or ads that blend in but produce lesser results (but make your website look good)? I am just wondering. I like blended ads, but every time I blend them with my site they become less effective.
I am right there with you. I think I going to run my site with ads "sticking out" for a week and then with "blended in ads" and see what color performs better.
Do what makes you the most money from Adsense as long as it's within TOS. You either have a business model that makes money from Adsense or you are doing something else to monetize the traffic. Trying to please visitors and make less money does not make sense on sites monetized with Adsense. Dean
I totally agree. I always think about the visitor first, but at the end, I think, my income is not what it should be.
It depends on your goal / objective. If you're in it for the money, and you know the ads that stick out generate revenue, then that is the way to go. On the other hand, if you are not in it strictly for the money, and want your visitors to enjoy your site on an aestethic point of view, then ads that blend and produce lesser results is the way to go. It is impossible to say which is best for a site without testing. I personally like to blend my ads - looks nicer and gets decent revenue.
Thank you for the input! Very much appreciated. I am in it for the money, of course. So, I guess for me the ads that stick out will be a way to go. I will try it for a few days and share with you if the results were good.
