Do you promote your website offline or just primarily online? If you've done offline promotion of your websites, have you found it to be effective - in both time and cost? Please share some offline promotional strategies & feedback. Thanks!
i used to work for a company which did offline promotion and they didn't find that it brought in as many people as they had hoped. however, i read an article not too long ago, and it was about a dating company who basically paid $10 to various residents in certain cities to put a small sign on their lawn which advertised their dating site. apparently it worked well for them because they kept doing it, but the drawback is that you need to hit up hundreds of cities
I used to hold sport activities for local community forum . Most of the members are registered online/forum . The effect is obviously, the forum members are more active in the forums .
I have never promoted my sites offline as it would not have been effective for my sites. However, offline promotion can be effective if done smartly. The type of promotion you can do depends on the niche of your site. If your site is based on higher education, you can hire a couple of students who can distribute brochures (featuring your site) in their schools and keep it in library books. If there is a big event that your website would be covering, you can advertise in newspaper that your website would have a special coverage of the event and so on.
No I dont promote my site offline... Thinking of some nice ideas to promote it offline... Any Ideas? Please post them
I think the success that you have in off line promotion depends on if it is a geographically restricted product or services that you are selling. If you are selling world wide, I cant see a great deal of point in sending out printed marketing material. However, if you have a local service, probably wont get many web hits anyway so off line promotion may be something to use.
No, i dont usually promote my websites offline. Yes, if you promote it properly, you can get lots of visitors.
I have promoted my offline business activity online but have never thought of doing vice-versa! I think it would be ineffective, simply because the percentage of people getting online from the real world is still pretty much less! Regards, RightMan
not, it's not always work, but for me you can promote your website via add url directory, for manual maybe you can try a few step of this: try to rental on cyber cafe and then leave your url on that PC or you can sneek to each PC to put your link url on their HDD
