Adsense and a possible way to prevent click bombing?

    Hello all,

I recently opened an Adsense account where I placed a bunch of my new sites. I am really glad to say that it is going great. Even though I am slowly getting rid of the addiction to check on my Adsense account every minute in order to see any new earnings, I did happen to check it today just before the day ended and then once again about an hour after that.

I noticed that one of my sites had 10 impressions and 6 clicks. Obviously something wasn't right there. I started researching for terms like "competitors clicking my ads" and such and I found out about click bombing.

Now, I don't know if my account would be at risk for these clicks. I don't even know what extent of clicks is considered click bombing. I would assume that 5-6 clicks wouldn't cut it (if someone wanted to ban my account for click fraud, they would have probably done 10 times that), so it could have just been a visitor messing around.

So, my question to you is - Do I need to do anything?
I have put loads of time in making my sites and I would hate to even pose a tiny risk of my account getting smart priced or even worse.. banned.

Also, I found this article about click bombing, where the author mentions a way to prevent it. You can find it here <--- NOT my site.

He basically quotes a code that you can put in order to avoid click bombing. Can you please tell me if:

    1) Does the code look fine to you (do you think it can work)?
    2) Could implementing such a code be against Adsense TOS?

The first thing is NEVER tamper yourself - Google have a few tricks to find you out. For example if you sign into your account on the same IP address as you click on an ad, then its a dead give away of click fraud.

Second - act in good faith with your competitors, maybe even try and build some mutually beneficial relationships with them. That way they are less likely to attempt to sabotage you.

In the old days click bombing could put your account at risk but I honestly think that Google have a good detection system in place and will only not pay you for these invalid clicks. Of course if they can proove that it was you clicking your own ads its a different story. If you do see a high level of clicks, a lot more than you have experienced it is a good idea to notify Google.
Most accounts are now disabled for breaking the TOS rather than invalid clicks.
If you are banned for invalid clicks the email will say as such and NOT you pose a risk to our advertisers.

it is seriously that you need to contact, email the google ads support, tell them about click bomb to your site, and one more important steps is try to banne the ip source of clicking, try to use the helpful tool like google analystic.
final, i want to show that, if you dont notify google ads about the invalid click of bomb, someday your google ads will be closed !

adsense now has an auto detection for click bombs and it will automaticaly flag it as an invalid clicks and earnings will not be added. so if you did not click the ads your self then its ok..unless you did then google will know..they are big brother online :D

I would not panic for this. Some visitors might click many times. Be sure to check the stats in the future. If this happens one day, it is normal, but not all the time.

Google now has become very smart in this regard so I think they know if its a click bombing or not. And I would never want to tamper with the codes given by Google adsense. If you are worried about it, then I guess the bes way is to tell them about the occurrence and be honest with them..

    Just my 2 cents

Better keep you sites secret. Do not share urls of your sites in public places and forums like this one.
Yesterday I got 50 page impressions and 35 clicks on one of my sites. I have never ever clicked on any google ads and I never ever asked anybody to click on my ads. Most probably It was some noob from DP who didn't like my success. My account is safe so far. Let's hope it stays this way.
