Vendor sending another product to the mini course list! Is that ethical

so here is this vendor, I was promoting for some time.
Some time ago, I also signed up for their mini course by email. To my surprise, the pages with the course, had just one small link to the CB sales page. All the other links - maybe 5-10 links- were to another version of the sales page, where they were using another payment method. Obviously, I wasn't getting any commission for those sales.

Contacted her and they apologized, made the changes and everything was fine.
Now I see they are promoting unrelated products, using their affiliate ID, to the same persons that signed up with their mini course. And they seem to have no problem with that at all. Is just business for them!

What do you believe? Is this unethical or what??:(
There is another vendor in the same niche but I would like to sort things out with these guys instead of promoting another product.
Not to mention, I am their top affiliate and sales increased after they changed the mini course page!
    Thanks

The way they were doing it is unethical in my opinion. However, the way they are doing it now is both ethical and expected.

During the mini course they are promoting their product with your id so you get multiple chances to make a sale per customer you send who signs up. Thats much better than the one chance most people get when they send someone to a sales page.

After they market the product during the mini course, they should be able to do what ever they please with their mail list. This does not cost you any sales.

You can always switch to another vendor but do it based on ROI rather than these emails as they do not affect you.

I understand that is their list. But I also helped building that list, to sell their product and get a commission for that.
Instead of promoting THAT product, they are making efforts for selling something else. Shouldn't use that time and energy to sell this product?

Also, isn't there a big chance, that these people, seeing this unrelated offers, mark the emails as spam, and therefore decreasing the chances to make sales in the future?
I mean if I sign up because I am interested in buying plr articles, and they hit me with adwords courses, I mark that as spam. Is not what I signed up for right?
    Thanks for your opinion :)
