Hi, At the link https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=75109&ctx=sibling ... came across the following In some locations, including China and India, we also require publishers to have owned their sites for 6 months. We've taken this step to ensure the quality of our advertising network and protect the interests of our advertisers and existing publishers. Is that true I mean that's pure discrimination. Well ... anyways , so can I use adsense for my blog on blogger.com that I created yesterde??
Most spam sites come from those areas, so I don't actually think that's discrimination, at least on purpose, it's just a way to combat something, and some people always ruin for the rest of them, but seriously. Before 6 months, a website won't be missing all too much revenue from Adsense.
I think what Google are trying to do is try and reduce spam sites, if they think some sites are being created in India which are spam sites then they should do this.
I agree with this, since this 2 countries share the most spam sites its quite natural to decrease their chances of getting adsense sooner.
yes .... I agree there are a lot many scammers in India who would love to earn money without really working for it. But again is ANY country devoid of such guys?? and really a 3 month period would have been fine to see if the site/blog is really worth anything. BTW....any of you guys in India got your blog approved by G Adsense recently (in past few months).
So can anybody give advice on this: I have 1 blog that too has only 2 posts as yet and I am slowly building up on it and the content. Plus I am rather new to blogging so I am still learning the process for getting PR, back links etc. And frankly speaking this is a blog that I have build for the sake of learning, though I am (and intend for future also) putting 100% original content on it but I am not as worried about the right keywords and stuff at present as I just want to learn HOW to do stuff first an once I am comfortable with the geeky stuff .. I'll get down to actual writing. Since as a resident of India I have to wait for 6 months before I can hope to get accepted by G. ... So, is it okay that for now I have this blog and once I get the accepted by Google (after 6 months), I can gradually put on 1-2 blogs that really have something that I can think of blogging about in the long run... or will I have to wait for 6 months each time that I put up a new blog or site??
The Golden Rule: "He with the Gold Rules". Google doesn't have to be "fair". They do what is in their best interests... and you get to live with it.
I agree with google .. with 6 month time frame is too much .... if they reduce it for say 2 month then its good ... this news is not that bad for genuine webmasters
On the positive side, Google is asking you to work for 6 months to create quality content, to have enough juice so that when you apply - you are already indexed in Google and you can expect good traffic coming your way!!! 6 months IS too long, but that's the best strategy they could come up with to counter spam sites.
well adsense is making strict rules on this , i too have faced the problem of this , and @first poster i think if we have a new blog ,and existing adsense account , then we can display in it
