What's better with AdWords? I know it depends on quality of the ad but generally speaking...

I'd suggest text ads. Never been a really big fan of Image ads, so I figure others wouldn't be either. But that's just me.

If you're selling physical products and you've got some good pictures, image ads can work well, but the best idea is to try both and see what works for your product and the sites you advertise on.

I personally like image ads because they take away the competition.

You have to experiment with the images (split test) just like you do when you use text ads.

In all types of products I recommend you text ads. It is very easy to see, and today most people are blind to image ads, like banners in the 1990s.

Definitely depends on the quality of the image. If you aren't a great graphic designer and can't create something graphically appealing (look at the advertising Mail Chimp did with their 125x125 ads), then just stick to text ads.

If you are promoting a product, then I would use image ads, but if you are promoting a forum or a site, you can go ahead with text ads.

I love images more then text ads. Why? Because they seem to catch attention of the users eye more quickly. For example, if you website is all black and white, and you have an image ad with greens and blues, you eye is going to go there first.

Im trying to market some products with image ads but they just get like 0.01 of the impressions to text ads. Been online in the campaign for a couple of days allready now. Is image ads are alot more expensive then text ads?

Image Ads creates more revenue because it attracts more customers.

It's two totally different things. Image ads only display in the content network. For text ads you can select Google search, search with partners and content network. I prefer search and text ads and wouldn't touch the content network with a stick, but it depends on the product/service you want to advertise. One thing is for sure: The traffic quality and CTR is alot lower in the content network.

Image ads grab more attention as they are larger. But I do suggest starting with text ads first and see what words push the viewers' buttons and click on your ad. Then, you can use those words in your image ad. Don't just have an ad with graphics and no words to entice people to click on it.

Image ads work but are much costlier than regular text ads. I follow these simple steps:
    1) Start with text ads
    2) Run reports on which sites are giving me conversions
    3) Create image ads on only converting sites.

To get an image ad displayed you got to bid over all other ads that would have taken that block combined.
