Just out of curiosity, this might be a stupid question but... Is there any possible ways to get some free domain names? I do mean .com .net .org .info type of names.

    Thanks for any answers.

Maybe Barter....Why do you need them? Personal site or what? If you just need one to work on then I will give you one, but I am retaining ownership. It will help me age the domain. When I sell the domain you age, I will give you 35% profit. I have some REALLY good domains as well, BTW.

Well, maybe I'd consider doing this. How could I trust that you would give me 35% profit though? Could we work something out?
PM me with some further details I guess.

I've used them before ~3 years and they are still open and free.. But they just suck... It''s only good if you have no money...

No way that you register a free .com domain name everytime you want.. The only way to get it for free is to participate in a contest or maybe join some sites that offer a free domains by completing offers.

Well, in case you are planning to advertise a certain affiliate program, contact them and give them a detailed description of what you are planning to do. Many will give you a free domain and unlimited webspace as long as it sounds profitable for them long term.

Its doable, but you'd get a domain instead of money

    free domains:
    .cc.cc
    .co.cc
    .co.nr
    .tk

    :)

Domain registrars are not invloved with allocation of space or bandwidth, unless they are also a host giving away hosting space, which I doubt they will give away both the domain name and the hosting for free. :D
