Since obama said that feds cannot go after people if the state laws allows them to sell products such as glass pipes, can you now legally sell those online without any worries?
If you are only selling glass pipes, I don't think there is a problem at all. But if you are selling cigars and cigarettes, I suspect there is a mountain of paperwork waiting for you to hurdle through before you are allowed to sell it online, if it is possible at all.
Yes there is nothing wrong to sell this online. But you're limited to only state client. You'll need extra license if you plan to sell to international client.
There should be no problem shipping to other states. You're selling legal products, but you should be prepared for visits from Uncle Sam, and his state cousins. If it was me, I don't think I would use the mail to ship. I'd go with a private carrier like UPS or Fedex. That's how firearms and such are shipped. On the other hand, there are just too many ways to make money online without getting involved in something that can cause legal hassels.
I think you are getting into a border line area. you said "glass pipes" - can those pipes be used to smoke illegal drugs? If so, then you might be opening up a can of worms. You should really talk with a legal professional that deals with interstate law.
Once in a while they go after people, it is a grey area, you probably have a 99% chance that you will be fine but you just never know. Tommy chong did about a year in jail for selling pipes and bongs online.
I know the laws, and as long as there is no refrences to drugs then you are in the clear, I am not selling things like scales or grinders or anything, just glass pipes and water pipes. I need to talk with my lawyer again. Would I need a tobacco license?
in usa we could order cigarettes online from websites run abroad. that was years back until the federal government stopped all those business. i hear recently they are allowing sell them to the us market again.
