Shall i edit my backlinks

    Hi,

    i have just noticed that my website is indexed as www.......but while building backlinks i have used the non-www version.

    SHall i edit my backlinks that i have built using non-www.....

    Its a good idea to use the correct back links and you should change them if you can, but google will notice the website is the same and the links will be counted for your site correctly. Google can normally tell even if you have 2 completly different urls the link should be counted.

    As long as your redirect is working you should be fine without making any changes.

    while you should maintain the consistency in building the URLs. if you have built the links using non www version then you should make sure that your URL is properly 301'd to the preferred version.

    do you have control over all the backlinks you built so far? easy solution for this issue would be doing a 301 redirect to non-www
