http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=216627 It has been talked alot on a few webmaster forums, also after reading this it makes me and more people cautious about vB's future outlook. http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=870249&page=2 -- btw... I don't see DP being upgraded anytime soon
In this economic climate, and with there level of skills people are bound to start pursing other ideas. It happens to every company, but vBulletin wouldn't of let them go without knowing they had backup!
I always believed Jelsoft was a much larger company as they dominate the forum software market. When you put it into context, losing 4 out of 15 members of staff is a large proportion!
Im not sure of the exact number, they could of had 19 then lost 4... Anyways, I think IB will grow greater then vB in the next few years, not just because of these guys leaving just in general.
This could be good for jelsoft. This provides the opportunity to get some new people and some new ideas brought into the company. Companies have to have an influx of new ideas to stay competitive. This might just help vbulletin in the long run.
Free forum software will never take over IPB or vBulletin, I suppose now that these staff have left, new staff with more inspiration and excitement can be bought in
