Hi, PR updated, and my homepage as well as some subpages has PR3. Which made me surprised is one of my subpage has PR4. It's a important page, so PR4 is very good But how can I transfer that PR4 to my homepage? What should I do?
There could be number of reason for this. The most common logic your inner page has good relevant inbound links & less outbound links.Keep your link building with most specific keyword for home page.
It's not really a 'problem' As said, that page has more/better quality/quantity of links coming into then your homepage. I would use that PR4 page to link all over you site DEEPLY. That could have many benefits, obviously.
Its good, my congs. Actually I prefer my blog to have higher pr in inner pages that in homepage. So do not worry, its great.
Funny problem. It's that a blog that's having this problem? If it's so,don't be surprised.Blogs benefit of a lot of backlinks so anything could happen .
it is because either you have quality content or it's an hot page in the eyes of search engine or visitors enter your website frm search engine by access this page ... it may b reason this page has more hist than your home page
for people who dont see this as a problem, i know this is possible by the various way we build our sites, however, does it look natural to see your homepage have a smaller page rank than internal pages. I don't think it does, and im not too sure if google thinks that either
Your subpage apparently has better content and more relevance than your homepage. (Aside from the better backlinks it probably has as well)
content in now way affects page rank! oh btw to help transfer this over, link to your homepage a number of times from this internal page (I imagine you do already) or trasnfer some of the current links, into your homepage, this will weaken your internal page, but strengthen it though the weight that is now being passed through the homepage. Much more natural
Its not a problem,it happened because your site's inner page will have been good quality links,so to increase the home page rank you have to improve the links of their home page.
Hi all, Thank you for your all comments I'm enjoying my PR4 now My site is not a blog. I think maybe when I deleted some PR2 pages and redirect them to that page, google also assigned their page ranks to it, so it has PR4
Hi, its really a good thing for your site to rank in that way.this may be of different reasons, 1 .The internal linking for that page may be very good. 2. The number of quality links may be more than your home page. 3. The content of the page also plays a vital role. 4. The visibility of you inner page may be more than your home page. To get the PR Juice from your internal page to your home page, give a link from your internal page to your home page and i recommend to give the hyper link to your home page with key word your targeting for your site.
Ah, I forgot When I checked my Google webmaster tools before update, my site has a bit in PageRank: medium, and the 'Highest PageRank page' is my home page. When G update PR, my homepage has lower PR than that page. What's the reason?
You said that the page that has a PR4 is a very important page, which I think is a very good landing page. So why would you want your index to have a higher PR? I don't see the reason why you want to do that anyway.
All this means is that the PR4 page has more inbound links and/or stronger inbound links than does your home page. Nothing to worry about. Just make sure the PR4 page has at least one link on it back to your home page. PR is virtually meaningless when it comes to how the page ranks for a particular keyword phrase anyway. PR doesn't bring your site traffic, rankings do. The only thing PR is helpful for really is selling links. So unless you're planning to sell links on your home page (which I HIGHLY discourage) then it's a non-issue.
Having an inner page with higher PR than the homepage is not unusual. It only means that there are more quality inbound links pointing to your subpage. Do some internal linking. That'll help a lot.
