Forum stalking

I have a forum that it seems a member was stalking staff members from other websites. one has requested posts that were removed from the public forum that involved my other forum for wich he was banned for. can any legal action be taken against me if I have a member that did that stuff but did not do anything against them on my forums? and I refuse to turn these posts over to anyone since they have nothing to do with any other site besides he was a member of.

don't think so. there should be something in your forum TOS.

 

You should seek legal advice to check where you stand to protect yourself from being sued as stalking is pretty serious!

 

Yes it is, but it did not happen on my sites nor has any of the staff members. if I see someone use my sites get other members to stalk then I ban them.

 

What is forum stalking?

 

Its when a person follows another person from site to sight and most of the posts are like attacking someone. it could also be a form of saying you are going to meet them in person.

 

It seems to me to be more like harassment.

 

Thats my thoughts. and if a member of my sites does this on another site, it has nothing to do with me. unless it was posted, e-mailed, pm ect then I would be responsable.
