Well guys, it's just like the thread says: How do I market my URL on a limited budget (probably 50-80 dollars)? I've done a few search engine submissions, am getting ready to buy some ad credits on a traffic exchange, gonna do some surfing, have posted on forums, etc but what else can I do with the money I plan to set aside to get some leads? One thing I'm considering is paying the cost of hosting for x amount of time via check (and maybe LR) for a limited amount of people. Sure, it costs money, but people will probably stick with what I'm offering long enough for my check to get sent (and I imagine they will likely stay with what I'm offering for a lot longer than that, since I do think the service I'm offering is reputable.) and after they're cashed, I'll have a larger budget to work with. If anybody can help, I'd appreciate it, because this whole affiliate marketing deal can be frustrating to somebody who's getting his feet wet/who's failed to get ahead in the business before due to feeling like he's walking through a labyrinth. Anyways, thanks in advance for your help.
What do you mean under the budget of 50-80 dollars? Are you going to spend 50-80 dollars per a month?
If you have failed before because you didnt keep at it. You will fail again. It may take years before you see your first result. All I can suggest is to advertise at any given space and you COULD succed. The hosting industry is overflown as it is! GOOD LUCK
And I disagree with that statement. I had no clue then and no idea of where to turn to even get a fraction of one. It's similar now in that it's still very difficult for me and frustrating (given how often you hear people post about how much they've earned, while you log into your CB account and see a big goose egg), but now I know where to turn to get information, I know where to go if I have a question, I have a good idea of what I want to market and why to avoid marketing certain products and I can only gain experience over time with these resources, so I think I plan to stay in the game. Also, while true the hosting service is overflown, that just means I need to be careful about how and where I market; examine how many places such as forums have hosting advertisements, how well received the offers are, etc, to see if my offer can fit in and maybe make me some money. I'm not trying to sound like Mr. Affiliate Expert, because obviously, I'm still new, but I definitely think that you can promote a more overcrowded niche successfully. Afterall, while there's a lot of people offering hosting, I think the internet is expanding at such a rate that there will always be room to advertise hosting and domain names, given that so many people will want them. 3DProf4online, I've got 50-80 dollars period with which to advertise, though I'll have a lot more money money in the account soon (566 bucks), which I think I'll use some of to outsource my work to people who can help me. I'm also thinking of investing in this company called Novalex Finance, an HYIP which has been very well received and gotten very few negative reviews (though I'm going to be cautious and only invest the minimum initially.)
jg914, here are my suggestions: 1. Get someone to write 10-20 good articles and submit them to article directories, that's a much better investment than HYIPs (These are the best way to quickly lose your money); 2. Invest $10 and sign up for a gold account at USFreeads. This will allow you to place commercial classified ads that: a) are read by people; b) can get you quickly indexed and listed by Google+other search engines; place more classified ads at Ablewise, InetGiant and other classified ads sites; 3. Create 2-3 different splash pages and use traffic exchanges to promote them; if you don't have time to surf for credits, buy some; 4. Use IM Forums to promote your service; 5. Post comments on high traffic Blogs with a link to your website; 6. Use social bookmarking sites. 7. For $10 you can get a 5-line ad to about 170k people at 2-bucks-an-ad.
