:( This is terrible. The government is looking very brutal and desperate now. Nima, you guys have a will of iron to be able to go against the government with all of their weapons. What do you think about the arrest of rafsanjanis children? How does this effect everything?

They are going all out which is exactly what will bring them down.

People won't forget the images of their Neda's look in the camera in her last minute as well as many other deads

"Ignorant fools like you are what keep dictators and terrorists in power."

whoever sent me that id like you to take a minute and read my opinion.
The United States of America has fooled us Americans many times, over and over again, so this has caused me to be skeptical about the news reported to me. Throughout American history the CIA/FBI/Or the likes have edited footage, spread mass propaganda, and lied countless times to the American people. Therefore I do not believe everything I see or read. I have to have valid information before believing what is told to me.
Those pictures are horrible, Neda's death is to be heavily mourned, and the government is doing the wrong thing if what is being reported is true.
Soon we will see if what was reported is true. Hopefully the people aren't as badly hurt and the death toll isn't as high as some claim it to be.
I value human life and do not support terrorists, dictators, or corrupt governments. I actually hate authority myself.

SecureWebDev, I didn't leave that comment for you.

While the strategy of waiting and seeing whether the news are 100% verifiable before taking action can be good sometimes, this is not one of those times. The price is simply too high.

It really does not make one bit of difference who is the "President" of Iran. They are not in charge. The Mullahs are, as is the Supreme Leader. The decision making and ultimate power does not lie with the President. He's pretty low on the totem pole in the overall scheme of things. Iranians should be concentrating on overthrowing and hanging the Supreme Leader and the Councils. Then and only then will they be on their way to true FREEDOM!

I sure hope this things gets to a critical mass . The key is whether the regular iranian army switches sides and causes the change that these protesters need. I think the army is the key.

Yes. How many people can indiscriminately kill their own fellow countrymen?

No, the key is someone needs to kill the council and the "supreme leader". Then reject Islam, found a new republic represented by the "people", not a false prophet and fake religion. :D

Mia, while I personally don't believe in any religion or God, the path you mentioned is not possible neither is it right.

Supreme leader should not be killed, but tried for crimes of humanity. Islam will not be rejected, no religion will ever be rejected in any country, however establishing a constitution based on separation of religion and politics is essentials.

I know it sounds harsh, but in reality how is he any different than Hitler, Osama, or any other evil, mad / crazed dictator in history that the world felt better off with dead?

Sure you can try him, but in the end death would be the penalty and end result. Why not save everyone time and skip over all the pomp and circumstance?

As long as Ali Khamenei remains in power, I hardly see how any true freedom ore peace can ever come out of that part of the world.

democracy and freedom never have and never will be created over night. Its a process that every nation has to go through...

Killing people without trials is the way of this regime, not the regime we are looking forward to

Well put Nima:), and also a very rational way of thought. Whenever I see the video of that poor teenage girl I think back to 1953 . Greed should never put put above the freedom of others:(.
