Actually the even revenue sharing rules are same not anymore.. For every thread created at the forum.. another clone page is created as seen here. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/archive/index.php/f-58-p-53.html This is where Shawn places his links and ads and no revenue is shared..
If DP was penalised then it would not be ranking highly in Google but it does. DP is too popular for Google to ban it.
I have not seen any pages from the archive directory in Google results but yes, there are some links on that page. Not sure if these are paid links: if they are then may be you are right.
Dude who cares about PR now ? For me PR ix extinct and doesnt value at all And neways PR doesnt decide if a site is penalized as said before DP is too popular for bieng penalized
Your kidding right? That is the search engine friendly archive. Its a built in feature of the VBulletin forum software. Some forum owners have the feature turned on, some forum owners turn it off. I do not understand what the big deal it.
I would agree totally. These are all just the assumptions as nobody would actually be able to pinpoint the exact cause for the drop! In my opinion, the PR drop is partly due to the problems DP faced in real time updation in its database, for several days. The inconsistency in up time might have hurt DP, the most! Regards, RightMan
