My site gets 1200 UQ a day. However my CTR is very low at 0.74% My site is http://www.boredgames.co.uk And I only get about $1 a day is it because the gaming niche is really low or what? Thanks everyone.
I get 100 visitors / day and $0.8 to $1 per day. I saw your website and frankly it is not good looking.
I experienced that sidebar ad blocks have very low CTR. The best is the square ad block that is placed in the same page of your article. If you use frame around the text, the ad should be inside the frame also, try to make it look like it's one part of the article.
Game niche is low pay niche, try to use one image only ads since image only ads give good CTR to game site

You may want to check the spelling of your poll. Have to admit that that poll may get you in trouble with the "pointing out the advertising" rule with Adsense. I'm not in a position to say yea or nay on that though.
Yeah your actually quiet right it may get me into trouble anyway I am going to remove it but make the ads stand out a bit more.
You may want to redo the centering as well. Looks like the content is in the center while the advertising is off to the right. Try to make the advertising part of the centering. (Locked down library terminal so I can't make suggestions here.)
Moving the skyscraper to the left side might improve your ctr a bit. People usually start reading at the top left of any page. But your niche is very low paying, so I wouldn't expect much.

I see ads on holiday and book delivery on you gaming site. I bet your ctr & clicks are annoyingly low. Here are my solution :- 1. Put the 336x250 adsense on the main area. 2. Add adlinks on the top most area. 3. Add more content ( be specific about the kind of games your site is offering). Get rid of the welcoming texts. 4. Use the <!– google_ad_section_start –> and <!– google_ad_section_end –> for better targeted ads after you've put up more contents.
Your website design is not so cool as it should be for a gaming site. It is simple not so attaractive. Moreover you can try the steps suggested by iskandar. Thanks.
Try put your adsense on center of your page, for example below the "Welcome to Our Game Website" text for the index page. And use large Adsense format. And if it still low, try other adsense format and placement.
