Best SEO tool? Link assistant vs SEO Elite vs IBP etc

I'm on the verge of purchasing SEO software and was after some opinions.

I've tried the trials of both IBP and Link assistant and both seem pretty good, each with minor points that are better than the others. I don't think there is a trial of SEO Elite around that I can see.

Does anyone use these tools and if so what do you think?

    Cheers,
    Dave

...also, what about SEO book and or SEO moz? Are the tools on these as good as the tools I mentioned in my previous post?

Is SEO book or SEO moz worth the subscription in addition to IBP/Link assistant etc?

Any other things I have missed? I'm about to start optimising an ecommernce site. The products are tested to sell on other online sales channels so money is no object if the tools/service do the job as they will lpay for them selves many times over.

I do fancy having a go myself before getting professional SEO though as I'm quite interested in SEO and enjoy learning about it.

Search Engine Land, Matt Cutts and SEOMOZ are the Geniuses in SEO industry...

Well.. You can try LinkScape from SEOmoz.. I think it is better.

I've been using Link-Assistant's tools for years. and i have an IBP license as well, so I update it sometimes to check what's new.

Both software Link-Assistant (now they have a new brand for all tools SEO PowerSuite) and IBP are of good quality. Why I chose LA is, they're doing faster updates after search engines algo changes, they offer cheaper maintenance plans, plus they are developing new features fast.

And one more thing: IBP is all-in-one while Link-Assistant's SEO PowerSuite is 4 tools in one pack. Therefore with Link-Assistant's tools I can run 4 tasks at a time on one machine, and in IBP I can only run one-at-a-time.

So my personal choice is Link-Assistant, I keep recommending it. However IBP is also good, but probably not that quick and it takes them longer to make algo fixes.

    Thanks guys!

SeoBear, I've been playing with the trials and I agree with you on that. They are both pretty comparable but SEO Powersuite does seem slightly more well put together. Only thing IBP seems to do better is the 10 ten report. Seems easier to follow.

Unless anyone convinces me of something else, I think it might be SEO Powersuite....

IBP is still the best tool for beginners to intermediate SEOer. The top ten report is the best training tool on the market for SEO.

For business, the reports headers can be customized for client reports. This alone pays for the tool.

IBP was nice, but it just didn't seem as fast or intuitive are SEO Powersuite.

For example, building a list of good keywords took me much less work, and then seemed quicker to gather the data in SEO Powersuite

Also IBP doesn't seem to have a graph of your rankings over time, which was a feature I really liked in SEO Powersuite.

I would have ordered SEO Powersuite by now I think if it wasn't for one thing... I can't find out if it will let you schedule tasks. If it can schedule rank checks and incoming link checks then I think I will buy it.

In fact one more thing about it - I have no idea how much it's going to cost once the 1st 6 months free access to updates runs out. The pricing on that is well hidden and confusing. Not a nice tactic....
