The Russians really love their propaganda.

I thought this part was particularly funny:

"Bzhania is now 35 and he said he first entered military service back in 1995, but later resigned. During the time of the military conflict between Georgia and Russia in August last year he was working as a construction worker."

    . . .

Meanwhile, Deputy Chief of Russia's General Staff, Anatoly Nogovitsyn, has announced that Alik Bzhania “is not a person of interest for Russia’s Armed Forces.”

what do you see so funny in here? He showed his current ID to the camera. Never heard of reserved troops? I think you missed that:

    and

Georgia isnt that powerfull and big to have a stand alone army especially if what he said is true and Saakashvili is planning a new war against Russia.

It is funny that Russia is making a big deal out of a nobody reservist who didn't even fight in the most recent battle with Russia.

It is made even funnier by the Russian military proclaiming that that they have zero interest in this guy. This would be just about as newsworthy if a Georgian pizza delivery man decided to defect to Russia.

Defections of low level people is a non-event.

Russia is making a big deal out of a nobody?

Surely it is a big deal, because you dont like it?

    >>who didn't even fight in the most recent battle with Russia

And who could fight if what he tells is truth. Thats the reason he ran away. Even if he is "nobody" as you said that tells what is the situation in Georgia. The main point is that he is a human, who left his country, and then it goes officer, etc.

    You said it yourself:

the Russian military proclaiming that that they have zero interest in this guy, because:

+ Russia dont need any information and is controlling situation, perhaps thats why they dont need it?

yet, they uniform aint soviet, huh? :) Guess what uniform they wear:

    Georgian Army, American Made
U.S. officials tried to build a force that could not stand up to Russia, but now they may have to.

Did you read the article: "At no time did the U.S. attempt to train or equip the Georgian armed forces for a conflict with Russia," he says. "In fact, the U.S. deliberately avoided training capabilities [that] were seen as too provocative" to Russia. That's one reason Georgia's troops crumpled so fast—precisely because their training didn't cover conventional-warfare topics like tanks, artillery and helicopters.

If they were train by US, I expected better from them that time, even thou they gave the big Russia a tough time considered to Russia man power:D.

    Yes, I read it:

Why Rebuilding Georgia's Military Will Be So Tough

U.S. Military Role In Georgia Tricky

U.S. officials tried to build a force that could not stand up to Russia, but now they may have to.

So did they try or not? I think you re the one who misses titles when reading the article?

Wait, are you saying Dick flew there to plant tomatoes??:D The uniform and the ID's and the police everyting is american in there, sorry, the tomatoes didnt gow up.

Oh, yes. And you are the HYPOCRITICAL israeli who sold some weaponry to Georgia(the spy planes)? You should be happy, man. They will buy it again ;)

The russians make your country's tourism budget every year, mate. If they were "barbarians" you would have a VISA for them and would not welcome 100,000 of russians every year ;)

Don't get me wrong, they were good barbarians.
Some things you can do only if you're russia or US, but not if u're a small country like Israel.
If only we could act against the people who hurt our civilians like the Russians or the Americans......

We stopped selling weapons to the georgian 1 day after the war started, on demand from moscow. But remember that unlike Russia, Georgia is a democracy.
The weapon selling of Russia to syria, Iran and other terror-supporting countries - this is the problem.

Russki turisti eto otlichno! I am of russian origin myself :) I am was also very sorry to hear about the accident with the travel agents, did you hear about it?
FYI Russian and Israelis don't need VISA's since long ago. It was us who cancelled it for Russians unilateraly, to get an estimated 50,000 more tourists every year, so the Russians followed.

The Newsweek article makes sense. The Georgians olny had 4 brigades. One of the brigades was in Iraq and the other was still in training. So Georgia only had two deployable brigades approx 12,000 troops at the beginning of the war.

The Georgians are just a pawn for the US corporate interests...

Georgia would have never attacked the Russians if they didn't have the OK from the war criminal Bush.

Sadly a Russian jew here does not want to speak the truth..... proving that morals have meaning only when if it fits their agenda (aka Israel and US).

America's support for war criminals like Saakashvili does not do any good to US.
