I would hope there is no penalty. What if 1000 people copy your content and submit it as their own. Will the google bots realize it starting point and not penalize the web site it originally came from?
People with any sense will not submit your content anywhere. What they might do is throw it up on an Adsense site and remove your links. Bottom line is, don't worry about it cuz you, me, or anyone else can't do anything about it.
If I am going to use the article on my site, I put it there first and then I put pictures on it and tweak it in other ways as well, maybe add some more content and make the article longer. Then after a week or so I submit it to Ezines. The reason that I do it this way is that I notice other sites come up higher with my article than I do! good bad not sure but i think I would rather organic traffic come direct to my site if I am monetized to increase potential income from the hard work of creating a article rather than hoping someone will click on the author resource box. I feel that at some point G is going to come down on this but maybe I am just paranoid.
It is fine for getting links. But only one of them will appear at the Google search results. The rest of them will be filtered to the supplementary results due to duplicate content.
Some people say duplicate content is a myth.. i dont really know what to believe . I tend to always submit spun or unique content.
Many directory sites have RSS feed, so a blog would be duplicated anyway in many directories! So I think submitting in many directories should not have any problem.
i change the anchor text and information in the resource box so that the article is slightly different
Hi Friend, I had same question few months back , Hope this thread helps you in case http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1306485 Regards, Merlinseo
If you submit one article to one directory only it is not a cost effective website promotion technique. Also, your article can be stolen and spread among other directories by your competitors.
