Yahoo News:http://ph.news.yahoo.com/afp/20090619/ten-entertainment-music-crime-copyright-1dc2b55.html wOw that's alot of money. The news didn't say she was selling/distributing those 24 music she downloaded. What do you think guys....
Its already here on the 1st page of this section -- http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1385015 - Digital -
It is an awful lot of money, but when I clicked on the thread - I hadn't realised she was also illegally distributing the tunes. I suppose the amount reflects on how much she will have made from the distibution etc.
Traffic2, she would NEVER have made that much money off of distributing that music. Everyone who uses P2P software is "distributing illegally" ya know. I doubt any of those people will see any of that money. Broke people can't cough that up. I think she'll probably just declare bankruptcy on it. Wait...I dunno if she was sued of if that was a criminal sentence handed down. Dunno if you can BK on a criminal sentence.
poor women, there are so many people downloading hundreds illegally and no one cares. But this is so unreasonable to post such a amount on a simple person.... They should try to block the sources rather than the people who use these sources.
She made nothing - nilch, nullo, negatory - from distributing the tunes. The RIAA *spit* just decides an arbitrary amount based on how much damage she might have done in terms of lost sales. So, they decided to sue her $70,000 per track. By that logic, shirely, the music industry should be raking in profits in the billions and trillions if their sums are accurate. Which they aren't
This is completely rediculous, this makes no sense, makes you think that there really is no justice in the world.
