    You can. But some people, especially the Gibson guitar people, would wonder
    why you registered a domain bearing their trademark.

    If you especially intend to make money off it in any way, expect trouble.

    stay away of trademark domains, dude! they can sue you or take your domain for nothing....better you get the generic domains....

    i'm planning to sell gibson guitar that comes from amazon affiliate. so, i will be - hopefully - generate from it. the products will be gibson official ones.

    Hmm, let's see.

    Gibson, as some indicated, is being used as a trademark for guitars. Why else
    would one register that unless it has a intended non-commercial use?

    Let's even argue that one didn't intend to ride on someone's trademark when
    the domain was registered. Well, what are the chances people searching for
    Gibson guitars who come across that site won't think it's associated with the
    mark holder they probably intended to find?

    But...if that doesn't convince you or anyone else, then feel free to do as you
    wish. If the trademark holder sends a C&D, or worse files a dispute, for that,
    then you at least know why.

    It won't help anyone to delude themselves into thinking there's no problem in
    light of certain available facts that can be found...if one bothers to check.
