Newbie is a bit confused with what to provide in links to other blogs. Should I put in something like www.store.supremegecko.com or http://store.supremegecko.com or even http://www.store.supremegecko.com Is there any difference in good ranking affect? Thank you.
I like http://www.site.com as compared to http://site.com. I think it looks better, but thats just a personal preference. But choose one or the other.
Generally now all of hosting company include script in .htaccess file that visitor can visit that web or blog without www or within www may help you
Thank you for the info, but I am more interested in the affect using these will have on crawlers (will they all find my main site by the crawlers?) Thank you again, Wally
Hi, I'm never know that site loaded faster without 'www'. Thanks for info. With regards to crawling and ranking issue, i don't think it'll give any difference. Or maybe some SEO experts can confirm about this. Thanks
All of my sites open without www, and i didn't notice any affect either on my sites or income, everything works fine.
I don't know if I understand the question perfectly, but if you are linking out to other blog/sites then you have to use the http://www or it won't link correctly. But most of the time you want to use anchor text and hyperlink that text. And on top of that if they are going to link back to you make sure you get the appropriate anchor text.
I think it greatly varies from site to site. I think digg (http://digg.com/) looks better without the www, but reddit (http://www.reddit.com/) looks better with it. Just depends on the URL, try typing out both and look at which one you like better.
It's up to you, but if you want to be different then choose the one without "www", because major part of website owners use the "www" option.
