My site got Delisted from Dmoz

Hi all...I want to ask something. I have one domain name [ done 1 month ago because hosting suspended, but active today ], and its delisted from Dmoz today. I don't know why...My PR was updated, but my domain delisted from Dmoz...I must happy or sad So, any suggest for my case ? How to make my domain listed again at Dmoz ? Any help will be appreciated.

That is usually because the Directory has automated QC tools that check sites and if there is a problem, it will delist the site temporarily and place it in unreviewed. Those type of sites show up as red numbers for us and there are many of them.

Editors visit those sites and if it's working again, we will re-add the site to the Directory. If it isn't working, we will try to find a new URL for it (if one exists), some sites move without telling us.

You'll just have to be patient until an editor gets a chance to look at it, see it's back, and re-lists it.

 

Wait about 3 months later, if you site still can not be relisted, resubmit your url.

 

I'm afraid you cannot "make" anything of the sort.
No site is guaranteed a permanent listing (a fact of which those who misguidedly offer to pay should take careful note), and every listing is subject to review.
If the site is still suitable for listing, its "disappearance" is likely to be due to quality control (as crowbar explained) or to an internal rearrangement, and it will "reappear" at some stage. There is no point in suggesting it again, and this will not hasten its review.

If it is not listable, then no amount of re-suggesting will make it reappear.

I suggest you resubmit your site with old information. Delisted is very reasonable when you website become unreachable.

She is not a buddy But her & Crowbar both gave a good answer.

You may be able to use the update listing link to let them know...but I'm not sure if that will do any good. If I am not mistaken, it's specially flagged if it's a QC issue, so may be seen faster leaving good enough alone. makrhod or crowbar could likely tell you if doing that is worth it.

Update requests are fewer in number, and generally get taken care of faster. In this case, where the site was down temporarily and is now back up, I would think it would be a good use of the update request. Easy to confirm, and quick to fix.

It's especially helpful when a site has a new url.

 

Are they flagged like the QC sites?

Ahhh... K, thanks. I had QCed listed sites in my category, but I never had updated or reported ones. I guess it stands to reason those would be similarly flagged, but heh... I stopped assuming when it comes to how the ODP works
