You have never been in iraq so stop judging it from 13000km . I think you are another of those poor guys who got brainwashed by those big medias. Sunni's and Shia's were living a normal peaceful life for hundreds of years! How it come they begin to hate each other suddenly after the occupation ?! come on you not that dumb think a little bit. looks like you trying to run away from the main question i asked you. Was it for oil or not?
GENOCIDE IN IRAQ 1987 - Saddam launches the Anfal campaign against the Kurds. The most notorious attack occurs at the village of Halabjah on 16 March 1988 when mustard gas and nerve agents are used to kill up to 5,000 and injure up to 10,000 more. An estimated Kurdish 4,000 villages and towns are razed and hundreds of thousands of Kurds are "cleansed" from the region by forced deportation. More than 100,000 Kurdish civilians are reported as killed or "disappeared". 1991 - Saddam launches a campaign against the Shias, including Shia Marsh Arabs. Much of the marshland is drained. Villages are razed and their occupants deported. Up to 200,000 Marsh Arabs flee. As many as 150,000 are killed. The Shia holy cities of Najaf and Karbala are attacked and over 100 Shia clerics disappear. Beginning in March chemical weapons filled with sarin gas and CS (tear) gas are dropped from helicopters onto targets in and around Najaf and Karbala. http://www.moreorless.au.com/killers/hussein.html
false propaganda. They created those stuff to blackmail Saddam. Even i didnt like Saddam regime i still have to disagree with your statements and those numbers provided. He was a bad leader but he was not as bad some media trying to show him. Even during the iran-iraq war iraqi shia's choosed saddam side over a shia iran ! So Religion was not much of a problem there. Those Bombings begin after occupation so you guess which country is behind 90% of those bombings to create a faction war inside iraq?!
Actually, good try. But, I've been deployed there twice, and Afghanistan once. So please, don't try to talk like you know who I am. It's a good thing that what you think doesn't matter any more than a fly crapping. And you think they didn't hate each other? lol @ you then. No, it wasn't for oil. Do some research, there were at least a dozen reasons. And not, I do not believe everything the media or the government says. I would be one of those people here in America that thinks the government is behind 9/11. Which is why I am no longer in the Army (that and I run a successful hosting company).
It would be Iran, you know, the ones training and providing arms and money to insurgents. lol. You're hilarious. You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about, you have absolutely no clue. It's ok though, like I said, come at us with some cold hard facts, not just your opinion in a country that has nothing to do with anyone else (other than providing us beautiful women )
BOGART you forgot the use of chemical weapons in the Iran-Iraq war. If i'm not mistaken its the 1st time in history that chemical weapons such as nerve and mustard gas were used after WWI but that's not the topic of this thread I'm thrilled! GO liberals GO! Execute the ignorant achmedingjad and put the ayatollahs in prison!
I don't think Ahmadinejad cheated I mean look at election results, there is 11 million vote difference between AhmadiNejad and Mousavi , it's very big number I think it's hard to cheat in such big number I believe most poor people who live in countryside voted to Ahmadi Nejad anyway they will recount votes in some places let's see the results then
For anyone with eyes, here is a very clear perspective on what is happening in Iran. http://www.boston.com/bigpicture/2009/06/irans_disputed_election.html Hopefully the people of Iran will get the freedom they are fighting for. The free world is behind them 100%.
It's looks to me as if it was rigged, but then again I'm no expert in Iran's political forums. From what's going on now it looks like they're better be some sort of action....because rebellion is the first step to civil war. Just saying...it's getting very very violent over there...
It's doubtful that the Iranian protesters can stand up to the 125,000 man Iranian Revolutionary Guard. Nicolae CeauÅŸescu fell in 1989 but his elite security forces at most numbered 5000 and could not stand up to the Romanian Army.
Funnily enough that's exactly what Great Britain thought when the American Colonies started to rebel. The rebellion started with small skirmishes long before the Declaration of Independence was drafted. Give it time before you judge.
won't happen, when you prove him wrong, he will run. Or completely change the subject. Forget about the fact that sovereignty was returned to Iraq YEARS ago. Forget the fact that there are treaties in place allowing the US to be there. Forget the fact that Mr_2 clearly has no clue, zilch, zero, what he is talking about. Life must be nice in Sweden, not having to worry about anything. Judging people on the internet based on absolutely nothing, and judging whole countries based on the actions of a few. If that were the case, Iraq, Iran, NK, heck, practically the whole ME, would be one big giant ass glass parking lot.
you are way too simple dude. here are some info about the report you posted. The source you posted is "HRW" GENOCIDE IN IRAQ The Anfal Campaign Against the Kurds A Middle East Watch Report Human Rights Watch New York · Washington · Los Angeles · London Copyright © July 1993 by Human Rights Watch. All rights reserved. Printed in the United States of America. That report was made just after the first iraq-us war. and most probably by few US agents and by a country that was on that time iraq no 1 enemy. imagine if you ask al-qaeda to make a report about the killing of civilians in Iraq by US army... would you respect that report? There were some fightings against kurdish seperatists but it was more a fight against a seperatist group. btw most kurds are sunni. Sure iran did provide some limited resources to shia groups but behind the majority of those religios bombings was USA. They brainwash you every minute by media waves to make you believe it was Iran that done this and that. The same way the brainwashed you to believe Iraq occupation was due to WMD and not because of OIL.
Ok. So I understand that 7 years or war between Sunni's and Shia's with more than 1.5 million dead is in Mr_2's world "normal peaceful life for hundreds of years"........ I would like to add that the chemical weapons used in that war between Sunni's and Shia's for the first time after WWI were also "peaceful for hundreds of years"
Dude what Iran-Iraq war has to do with religion? It was not a religios war.. Also Just for your information in iran-iraq war the iraqi shias took the Saddam side. They choosed their arab identity over religion And there were many Sunni Irani kurds that were fighting against saddam ..
You are kidding right? Of course it was. It was a holy war that sought total dominance over the enter Persian Gulf as the objective. That war was nothing more than an effort by crazed Islamic backed leaders to dominate the region. The likely objective after that was likely to infect the rest of the world to their crazed way of life.
Ahh yes, that evidence we uncovered (which much has been brought up in the UN and other places) while I was there, yeah, definitely just brainwashing by the media . No, your hate has you brainwashed. And you ignored the part about I've been there twice, just like I thought you would. Change tactics and subjects quickly when cornered with those pesky little facts . No, I'm not near as simple as you attempt to make me out to be. Hopefully you will learn as time goes on. And you are also ignoring the whole part about, you know, Saddam gassing the kurds. But again, change subjects and ignore old ones when cornered with them pesky facts. And, another fact your ignoring, its not an occupation, considering there are treaties between Iraq and the US. It's not an occupation considering Iraq has sovereignty. I know, pesky facts.
