So why did you and others blame the bad economy on Bush to justify the senseless spending that is currently going on?

Not only were they part of the problem. Most of them did not even pay income tax or cheated on their income tax.

If Bush did half the things Obama has done, they would be ready to impeach him already. They tried to do it just over the Iraq war, much less this?

No shit... In retrospect, even to the most ardent Bush hater, Bush looks a million times better than Obama.

I never blamed the bad economy on Bush - never!

I blame the bad economy on the Democrats in congress and specifically, Pelosi. The economy has gone bad since 2006 when the Democrats took control of congress.

Case in point: the Democrats raised the minimum wage. It is historically proven that when the minimum wage goes up, unemployment goes up. Democrats like to do this when they run congress and a Republican is President.

You are on the right track with Pelosi, but this goes back further than 2006. In fact, it goes back about 30 years to the Carter admin, the CRA, and then Clinton and more CRA... fannie, freddie, and all the kings horses and all the kings men!!!

This was a long time and coming folks, and it was intentional. All of this was by design. Its all long been part of the fullfilment of the social agenda and regime that democrats have dreamt about since the days of FDR.

Pelosi isn't that smart. The brains behind the Kabuki are Barney Frank, Chuck Schumer, Chris Dodd, and Ted Kennedy. Add to that the Chicago machine.

I'd say it's reasonable to say that the title of this thread is now relevant: Obama's approval is down to 58% today - that's the lowest he's been yet (he was at 59% a few other times.) I wouldn't say it's anything to be overly concerned about yet but it seems the average American voter is starting to place more pressure on Obama.

    This was bound to happen.

As an Obama supporter I won't be too concerned unless it drops below 50%.

    Damn right!

I also blame it on certain people in the Republican party, namely McCain who didn't do anything in his power to stem the tide of the stupid bailouts.

Don't worry bro, its not too far from there.

OK I can agree there are justifiable reasons to get on Obama's case. But killing a fly....come on PETA. Give the guy some slack.

Chicago’s Rahm Emanuel—President Barack Obama's chief of staff—made $320,000 serving 14-months on the Freddie Mac -federal mortgage firm- board of directors of the .

According to a complaint later filed by the Securities and Exchange Commission, Freddie Mac, known formally as the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation, misreported profits by billions of dollars in order to deceive investors between the years 2000 and 2002.

Barney Frank's ex 'husband' was Fannie Mae executive. At the same time, Barney Frank was Democratic House Financial Services Committee Chair.

Barney Frank is an open disgrace to the Democratic party (if they have any credibility), I am always amused at how Bill tears him up when he comes on Fox:D

Fear not Zibblu. Obama can do no wrong. His foreign policy in regard to Afghanistan and Iraq has been essentially a continuation of the Bush/Cheney policies and yet his approval is well above 60% in that area. What concerns me is that his approval on the handling of domestic issues has dropped below 50%. Don't these people realize that a two trillion dollar deficit/10 trillion dollar debt is EXACTLY WHAT THIS COUNTRY NEEDS to fix its many problems? The right wing pollster Rasmussen actually has Obama in the negative for his general popularity today, for the first time in his presidency. Someone on his staff needs to be fired for improper handling of the media. The American people should bask in the glory of the revolution our dear leader has undertaken.
