I realized that hubpages gets index faster than Squidoo. For example, I wrote a hubpage today for a very competitive keyword, after a day or two, it would already be on top of the search engine, 1st or 2nd page. As for squidoo, its not..they don't get index at all sometimes even if I have no competition in squidoo for that keyphrase.... Is the same thing happening to you or is it just me....
Hubpages is a far trusted domain than Squidoo. I guess that is why squidoo is trying to remake their policies.
Though the hubpages ranks good with little efforts still the click through ratio sucks compare to squidoo. Also you need to achieve 75 overall hub score to get those links dofollow.
squidoo sucks, they lock your sites for no reason at all. it just takes one idiot to report you for nothing! not bitter.
I don't like Hubpages at all, the CTR is horrible and is full of people thinking they will get rich from Adsense, that is a good joke, and Squidoo will become more and more stricter.
Recently I've observed that Squidoo is making lot of changes. The major step is banning P2P site lenses.
I think Squidoo is much better for clickbank product promotion, but unfortunately spammers have ruined their online reputation to some extent over the years. But now after ther changes of policies, they will surely clean up their system and will emerged as a powerful authority. All you need to make a good lens with unique content and keep outbound links less than 9 to a single domain.
it happens all the time where a new hub ranks well after creating but that is usually due to fresh content eliment and the ranking usually dont last. you will see drop in ranking within few days. i would be very surprised if you can retain the ranking without further promotion
When it comes to ranking in search engines both are great but you can not solely rely on them as they have a lot of distraction which might attract your visitors and affect your sales.
so I read somewhere that you still have to build backlinks for your squidoo page so that it will rank in google...so now I know why.. one of my hubpages are still on the top of google and they have no backlinks at all, just direct link to the affiliate... its been almost a year... so i guess hubpages is better...
It's seem that, competitive/high searching volume keyword tends to get your Squidoo/hubpage indexed really quick compared to those low searching volume keywords...That's from my experience
Those two can be used, but I guess Squidoo now is improving the features of their site. As far as my experience with Squidoo, it ranked my site in search engines
Hubpages works for me more than Squidoo. I'm trying to learn more though on how I could improve my stats at the latter.
