How about implementing a new template for DP forums (giving it a new look). Will that be too hard to implement? Any ideas...
I understand. Its just a suggestion for you people to ponder upon when your plate is a bit empty. The change shouldn't take much time. Anyways.
Probably the only realistic change would be different colors (just stuff that can be changed with CSS like the blue vs. green). Complete template changes just give you twice as much work (updating your changed templates when you update vBulletin... so then instead of 1 to maintain, you have 2 (or however many you have). But also, why change it when it works (and work well)? I'm not a big fan of changing things for no reason other than to change it. If you have suggestions on how to make the existing one *better*, that's a better route (and something we already do).
Here is my list of ideas for you : 1) Use a template (or you can customize the existing one) with more of white color. (faster load times and less bandwidth consumption) 2) Encourage use of default avatars and not custom avatars (just something to save you bandwidth) 3) Turn off forum jump feature (uses quite a lot of bandwidth since you have lots of forums.) 4) I don't know if you use Gzip, but it saves bandwidth again. 5) NO CACHE headers set on in your settings 6) Turn off the calendar feature ( anyways not many people use it) I have tons of other ideas too if you are willing. Every little bit helps I think!

I like this template very much actually, especially the color. Simple and classy. I don't know about bandwith, but to turn off "forum jump feature" don't sound to me a good idea. I find it very useful and quick to go where I want.
I'm not gonna ask why Shawn is called the horse! I like the template as it is - I've just moved over to VB, bought a theme, and my members told me they prefered the default version over the bought theme :|
We need a style with all the green colors changed to pink colors, and with the other colors being black and blue!!!
1. White color doesn't make anything load faster. 2. Avatars don't take much bandwidth because they are only loaded once per session (not once per view). 3. Forum jump is about 1k, but since gzip is on, it's about 200 bytes of transfer... not too much. 4. Already on. 5. They are intentionally not there already. 6. If people don't use it, turning it off isn't going to change anything, eh?
