Many people use the 5 second rule when they drop food on the floor . Do you? They say the floor is generally not as dirty as you think. In fact a Nobel Peace Prize winner was chosen for proving this. Me- I am not eating anything that hits the floor - my cat has a habit of leaving small granules of litter on the bottom of her feet. That's one type of seasoning I can do without.
I take utmost care not to drop food on the floor but once dropped, it ain't gonna find its way into my stomach...no way! I am very choosy about these things! Regards, RightMan
I do say that even if I feel bad about wasting food when dropping it, the 5 second rule doesn't apply becuase my dog will eat it in under 1 second.
depends on what i am eating and where it is droped.....Like if i am eating something with gravy or can say wet...i wont eat it...and something is dry for example...dryfruits chocolates or anything dry and surface is clean....i can eat thanks
It depends on the floor and the food. I mean if it's a soup then there is no point in discussing the issue but if it'S something solid and that the floor doesn't look dirty then why not. I must also say that I have no pets.
i try my best not to make anything drop and if it happened ( i don't have pet) 99% cases i pick it up and eat it, and if it was dirty i'd remove the dirt and eat the good parts. why i'm doing this? No (thank god) i'm not poor at all so why really am i doing this? because everytime i drop something i always say to my self (it's on the ground, don't eat it, eat from the clean food in the dish) when i hear my self saying this i remember that there are people starving everywhere, so i should not waste any....
I will totally pick it back up if it is in the non sticky column like a pretzels or a sandwich if it didnt go everywhere. Not cause I cant afford more food, i just dont want to wait for more food. I try to stay away from picking up soup of the ground though.
sometimes i try not to spill anything since food is very expensive these days and there are so many people that doesn't eat so i don't want to waste it either.
