Many people say blogging is good for your site, especially if you have good content, but in order to create backlinks and traffic I posted a link back to my home page on every post. Unless I am mistaken I was suspended for this by Wordpress, how do you get your blog to work for you without backlinks? I also have a blogroll in Wordpress with a lot of links to my website. Since then I have started a Typal blog and want to know if I will have the same problem with that blog? In regard to Wordpress, Blogger and my new Typal blog would it be better at the end of each blog to write “Get related articles here†and put the html in for the links than posting about the author at the end of each post?
If you are hosting you own blog, Word Press can't suspend you for anything. If you are talking about free hosted wordpress..then yes, they do have something about using a blog for SEO purposes. I got hit with it a while back. When you are on a free hosted platform, you are at the mercy of their TOS, so you will have to read them to know what you are allowed to do. From what I remember, blogger has no such restrictions. Still unclear if you are self hosting or not but I know most themes have an authors box. You can use that for a short bio, and links and edit your theme so it appears either before or after each post if it doesn't already do so. If you are using free hosted, I think you can add an authors box to the sidebar, but I am not sure if you can put links in it.
