Have your say about TWO IPL IN A YEAR

i am sure Indian cricket board earn lot of money by organizing IPL twice a year but they would not be able to perform good in other Tournaments as Players are tired, fatigued and exhausted by playing so much cricket.

For me IPL just before the world cup is the Reason for Indian exit from the world cup. With such a strong batting line Gahmbir, rohit, dhoni, yousaf, yuvraj and Raina and still did not qualify for the Semi's.....

Well, I think only one IPL is good in a year.

As, enough of anything is not good. :)
So, he should stay with one IPL only.

Over half of the South African team took part in the IPL too, but they had no issues in getting to the semis.

It isn't a bad tournament, but I'd prefer it to be held only once a year. Twice would lead to overkill.

Total agree with grliverpoolfan but wht abt this statement
"Gary Kirsten, the India coach, has said players' fatigue levels and the minor injuries they carried from the IPL to the ICC World Twenty20 contributed to the champions' early exit"

In my opinion, the major factor which affected India's performance was the inability of the Indian Batsmen to get quickly adapted to the English weather. If the last IPL would have been held in England, the result could have been totally different.
I feel IPL is just an excuse. Having said that, one IPL per year is anyway more than enough as excessive exposure would kill the excitement!

You have to ask India's physios and medical experts why they took an unfit team to England.

I believe if they introduce two seasons of IPL per year people would get fed up with twenty-20's ...

It probably was their best team on paper.

It certainly wasn't their best team on the pitch.

I don't think IPL has to do anything with bad performance of Indian cricket team. South Africans 8 or more players participated in IPL but still their performance was really good. I read a report that Australian existed early from tournament because they never played any IPL matches.

If you look at defeats it was mostly because of bad selection of players. Ojha and Irfan Pathan even though they performed really well in their previous matches were dropped in crucial games against England. Fielding was poor and Harbhajan gave away 2 fours in wides in match against England & India lost that game by mere 3 runs. Anyway can Indian players refuse not playing in IPL. They will never, because its all about money.

lalit modi will be an ass if he makes it twice a yr.
they will spoil the spirit of cricket and it will become more like a saas bah serial.

thanks to the IPL we got disgraced in the worldcup. next is what?
