With blackhat method you got many unfair advantage. Disadvantage:You will always face worries that time will come they know you using illegal practices.
Some good points so far. Are there a lot of people out there who make lots of money monthly with Blackhat without getting caught?
Use blackhat for businesses you don't want to make you money forever. In my early days I did blackhat for a quick buck... but I've found that longevity pays the bills.
Blackhat techniques is some of the best for a quick boost of large amounts of cash. You can then invest them into whitehat stuff if you wan't as a membershipsite or something
Do you guys even know what a black hat is ? If you really use "black hat" methods in your advertisement, then you're probably heading into a 20 years jail sentence. It's not black hating ... It's simply not being completely clean. Gray hat at the best. Black hats would kill their competitors websites and clean out their paypal accounts if they were really into the whole AM stuff.
Well I talked to quite some people who uses blackhat and blackhat doesn't mean it's illegal it's just unethical some times. There is a difference in doing blackhat marketing and doing a crime.
Blackhat is a term used by the hacker world to refer to people who use very advanced techniques and who use it for their personal means. It's usually used to refer to really hardcore hackers, and there are not so many who can call themselves black hats. Using bots, and unethical stuff for advertisement is grey hat at the most. It's interesting how people in the marketing business always tend to appropriate terms and change the use of these words for their own benefit.
hacking has nothing to do with blackhat marketing. Hacking is a whole different ball game then IM in this case it's blackhat marketing
I know i know. All I 'm saying is the term "black hat" doesn't belong in marketing. It comes from the hacking world, and obviously if you guys are using it when people use bots and not so ethical/legal methods of referencing and backlinking, then clearly it has its roots in the hacking world.
Arh okay I thought you said it was the same thing. But yeah I know the term black hat comes from hacking
BH - A person that exploits weaknesses in the algo by breaking the webmaster guidelines. Typical examples are things that actually work like hidden text and/or links, sneaky redirects, scraping, spamming for links, and showing the SE spiders different content than what the viewer sees (forgot the tech term). The advantage to this is more traffic, sooner. The disadvantage is that when caught, the site will be banned sending no traffic. BH SEO is a numbers game: with enough websites and pages they recoup their costs and profit quickly to start new batches of sites again. BHs are known for automating their process to get the numbers up. It is important to note that BH just breaks the webmaster guidelines and not the law. They don't hack sites. That is a whole different class of behavior. There is nothing wrong with BH but it isn't advisable for sites looking to stick around. Though ironically, well established sites from big name companies can get away with a lot more BH stuff than normal sites. It's all money.
advantages - earn good money in short time disadvantage - Get banned when detected and all the hard work are gone
Spam is no-no but I know lot's of people using blackhat and it's OK. I do that with optin lists.I buy list cheap(few 1000 people) send them to download something free to get proof of responsiveness and then sell them with a site $1.50 per lead. If I buy 20,000 people for $30(and I do), 200-300 will download free software and that is it. They are NOT targeted optin list members but they are interested in the topic. That is $300-$450 up on my website price when flipping. I think, it is in the gray zone but that doesn't have to be ok to you. Make sense?
