I'm not saying the message is wrong, it's the REASONS for the message that's wrong.

Do you really want the government dictating (even more I should say) what you can eat, drink, or consume based on how healthy it is? Just so they can push their own agenda? That's like if I told you that red cars get in more accidents, so nobody can own a red car anymore. Or hell, I don't like to eat fish because it makes me get a rash, therefore I deem it unhealthy and ban it, so nobody can eat it.

Same thing as trying to force people to have mandatory insurance, but the government can't pay for their health plan, so they are going to start telling us what to consume so healthcare becomes more affordable.

No thanks. I'm called an adult for a reason......

Kinda like our president... Yeah, Obama still smokes. Not something you will hear or see in the mainstream media.

Kinda ironic that someone that smokes would seek to ban it.

Its only the beginning folks. Whether you like smoking or not, its only the start. Next is beer, then soda, then cheeseburgers...

Christ, maybe the Mayans are right.... 2012...the end.

Soda tax is also a great way to tax welfare recipients and illegal aliens.

You know, I tell people all the time that are in favor of legalizing pot (to tax it) that the best way to approach that one is to just tax the shit out of Mountain Dew and Doritos. After all, they are the largest consumers of that crap anyway, aside from the welfare recipients and illegal aliens of course.

You got that right. Taxing Mountain Dew and Doritos is a great idea. The government will get a nice revenue stream. Taxing pot would never work. Basically pot is a weed. People would start growing their own and it would be really hard to tax in a significant way. Mountain Dew and Doritos on the other hard a hard to make.

Exactly my point... Taxing pot will only lead to shittier and shittier black market and home grown pot... Last thing we need are amatuer pot farmers.. Damnit leave this stuff to the professionals and tax Doritos, Mountain Dew, and stupid people. And for God's sake, please give hippies a tax credit on soap and other personal hygiene articles.

The US is in a deep recession. The Democrats are trying to do much and flying off in all directions.

If they would just leave things alone and at the very least, use that 750billion in "stimulus" to buy our 750billion in bonds back from China, we'd start moving ourselves in the right direction.

The Chinese are moving in the right direction. They have a massive stimulus plan that consists of spending on real infrastructure. Included is a "buy chinese" provision that restricts the stimilus to chinese companies and products.

They are worried though, and they should be. What they are holding in terms of US debt under Obama is worth about as much as GM stock is to their actually investors and bond holders.

    NOTHING!!!

Thank you for your support. We hippies spend an absurd amount on organic, cruelty-free personal care products such as Dr. Bronner's and biodegradable laundry soap.

Especially since I have to bring my own soap to public restrooms. Never know what chemical-laden animal fat might squeeze out of those dispensers!

Of course, the best herb is grown by perfect amateurs...but I wouldn't expect you to know that. The days when "homegrown" connoted por quality passed about thirty years ago.
