Bing Versus Google

    Hello,

I just registered this forum while surfing and I’m curious about what you think about Bing.
According to some news it already started to overtake Yahoo. But it seems to me they can’t beat Google. I think more creative ideas and some vision is needed to overtake Google.

Besides of that there’s adsense and adword industry. Google is creative and established firm, Bing brings nothing new to us.

If Google creates linux based operating system, maybe they can overtake Microsoft?

I just used the search here to find threads about Bing - there are over 400 of them. If you would like to see what people here think about Bing I suggest you use the search as you will find more than you can probably read

By the way I am seeing a lot of traffic from Bing on my main site. So far this month it is about 25% of that from Yahoo but it is in 3rd place; Google, Yahoo, Bing, Windows Live......

Bing is very close to google, i like it. image search in bing is 10 times better than in poor old google... check and you will be surprised!

i think google became too big... they fight on too many fronts, they cant even reply to emails, handle their own mistakes... somehow i feel they are not able to pull themselves out of this sh*t. tomorrow next search engine and mail system will appear and then it will happen. thats how i feel but we will see what really happens.

I agree their customer service is terirble. Mainly because the demand would be overwhelming and would cost them a fortune. I spent 2 hour trying to contact them today!!!

Anyway I don't think Bing has a chance. Their is no reason for anyone to change, google is part of the dictionary now. The race is kinda over.

Well, I can certainly agree that they have a long way to go before they could beat Google but I disagree that the race is over. I have gotten nearly 3000 visits from Bing to one of my sites so far for June

Google will be the thing in the past. Bing will be number one with HopHunt back end.

Bing is around 16% market share today... its growing. Microsoft did a good job this time and I hope they succeed. I don't like big ugly G anymore!

Dont ever say that thing "POOR OLD GOOGLE"
that's very unethical. Let's just be fair here.
Google is not perfect, Yahoo is not perfect same as Bing
    and any other SE.

If Bing keeps growing it's going to heat up Google people. That's for sure.

Google has launched 'Discovering the web' to show how different Google searches work.

    There's no possibility
for Google to be beaten down.
That Search Engine has already founded a strong foundation,
from all the users and supporters.

I think bing is a sorry excuse to catch up to google. Bing is almost exactly like google, google maps, bing maps, google images, bing images, and so forth. Plus google is more up to date accurate while bing takes days befor you find what youa re accually looking for.

Agreed, Bing is a sorry excuse to catch up to google. But Microsoft is the King of Computer Age. Sooner or later Google would be number 2 or 3 (Remember that).

I'm excited about Bing for two reasons:

#1 I'm already getting a nice amount of traffic from them.

#2 They aren't filtering out my quality sites because of something from years ago (looking at you Google.) Google is still filtering out some of my sites that are of total quality (only original unique content) because of participating in a link exchange over 2 years ago. Meanwhile Google allows all kinds of junk in their search results. It's very frustrating.
