A mightless UN force in Lebanon are only to help for evacuation.

At the other hand some of them want to sit in the middle of the warzone as to watch the game and play referee. - That must go wrong.

During the years of Bush's reigns, more has been done, and is continuing, for establishing peace in various region than the 50+ years of UN existence.

Im sorry, evacuating civilains while other people kill and maim isnt macho enough for you.
    Listen Arnie
Your Not rambo, your not a commando, your not even a bad action star.
your a computer nerd who needs to get laid.
    Face it.
Screaming Go USA while people get shelled and bombed isnt macho, its cowardly.
    Warmonger=You
    Peacekeeper=UN
    Get the difference.
I realise you want to go blow up all the baddies but this isnt TV and if you were ever in a conflict situation you would shit your pants.
The people at the front line evacuating civilians are a LOT braver than the cowards bombing them from 10,000 feet or firing 25,000 shells from 20 miles away.
I realise that you think what the UN is doing isnt as cool as bombing, shooting and generally killing people but we are not all homocidal right wing nutjobs.

While I respect the humanitarian help the UN provides around the world, it's peacekeeping forces, the ones who need to take affirmative action against unstabaliing forces like Hezbulla are an utter failure. They failed in Africa, in the middle east and everywhere else they needed to take action. The UN are a passive force and therefore useless.

Why not give the money to the now homeless and let them do the evacuations. They know the territorry much better than the UN.

Let me guess the favorite song of the UN. "all I have to do is dream, dream dream..." - and give them waterguns instead real weapons they can't use, that would save a lot of money.

And can you explain what peace they keep there? It's just words and not actions.

If they want to do peacekeeping, than they have to join the "fight" against these terrorists, there is no other way. Instead of hanging around in a country for 20 years, side on side with hezbollahs and which is bound under resolutions, - doing nothing than stirring in the air and let it happen for peace, eeh?

Exactly, and its costing billions of $$$, which taxpayers have to provide, for doing almost nothing.

Now, show me a passive business, and that's what the UN exactly is, that makes profit.

Last I checked it was fairly peacefull right up to the moment the missiles, bombs and shells started falling.
Lets face it Arnie, your icon says it all, you think your Rambo, your macho "fight against terror" sounds exactly like the soundbites you have been getting from TV

This is typical UN thinking, we'll just allow the terrorists all around us to build bunkers and gather weapons and that will keep the peace. Do you even listen to yourself?

Do you want to tell the world now, that Israel has/is never been attacked? - and no holocaust happened? What peace are you talking about? Slowly I get a real picture of you.

If the avatar disturbs you, just ignore it.;)

I'm probably going to cop flak for this one, but I'm sick of hearing this rubbish.

Hizbola are only doing what YOU or I would do if someone invaded OUR Country, they are fighting for their Country/Rights/Life.

If you read the history then you'd know that what is now Israel was their Country until the UK/Americans/etc gave it to the Jews after WWII. (Yeah, yeah 2,000 years ago it was the jews that owned it...well 2,000 years ago my people owned most of the world, so get off my property, or pay your back rent!!)

Israel's war is only "Just" because they are on "(Y)our" side.

    :D

    Get yourself an education.

Hizbollah is the extended arm of Iran and Syria and are not defending Lebanon, but working for Irans and Syrias interests by occupying it to use it as their base to attack Israel.

I'll agree that the UN stands for peace. But peace at what cost? Seems like the UN will not step into any conflict anywhere in the world; and if it does its totally helpless to actually do anything. UN has been in Lebanon since the pullout of Israel in 2000. They were in Serbia and watched as ethnic cleansing was going on just over the next ridge. Peace, for sure. But I'm not so sure I want their version of peace.

I suggest YOU get an education:

Hizbola (there are many spellings btw) was formed to kick Israel out of their Country. What you think you know because you stare at CNN 24x7 doesn't mean its true. (Do you know the word propaganda? It's not just a tool of the other side you know!)

I dont support Hezbollah but I might if they started going after Bush.
I used to repect Israels ability to defend itself but they have turned into bullies and while I dislike religious nutjobs such as them I dont see much difference between a Muslim Fanatic and Bush.
Also the Arabs didnt start the holocaust ARNIE (ahem)
Now if you want to strap on your flack jacket and head over there and show the UN boys how to do it be my guest.
    ;)

Personally I don't agree with war/fighting at all, but that doesn't mean I support the Israel led, US supported destroy anyone who doesn't fit attitude either.

Israel, the US, and UK are all guilty of using propaganda to get what they want in that region of the world.

I should also point out that earlier I had a brain fart and was talking about Hamas not Hizbolah. (what can I say, it's late here)

Anyway I've said my peace (sic).

Seems like you clueless, Israel withdrew from Lebanon 6 years ago, there was no single Israeli in Lebanon prior to Hezbulla attack.

Attacking Israel, kidnapping 2 soldiers and sending rockets into Israeli towns only brought destruction to Lebanon. How exactly do you figure they protect it?
