    .cm Sunrise

The .cm sunrise period begins on 15th June 2009, 9:00 UTC. The sunrise period will end 14th July 2009, 23:59:59. Applicants for the sunrise period must hold a valid & issued trademark at the time of application. Minimum registration during sunrise period is 2 years. Pricing for sunrise applications is $250/year for a 2-year term. There is a $89 non-refundable fee.

I wanna know how the f*ck viralvideos.org managed to register facebook.cm as their "trademark"...

It's a trademark. Some one just wasted their money.

...someone else just wasted their money.

Mark, good job. This is exactly the article I was going to link to. It is where I first learned about the .cm ccTLD.
Syd, .cm is a ccTLD. It is a country code top level domain name extension. Same as .US, .UK ....

well, quite a lot of people end up misspelling .com domains..however, my concern is how come the .cm people make money..cos if you go to anyname.cm, you are taken to a parked page called agoga.com..I mean you'd notice that you have been taken to a different page with no relevant information..so are they still making money off it??
