A few things..

    1. www.heatarcade.com/sitemap.xml - I just generated this, now what do I do with it? Do I put a link to it on my homepage?

    2. My blog gets crawled quite often, would it be better to re-direct my blog to my site or just submit my site to the google addurl thing?

    1. Get an account with Google Sitemaps and register that URL.
    2. Add links from your blog to your site.

    Just done what you said, realised everyone's sitemap was /sitemap.xml so i searched sitemap on google and found the link.

    Just keep it updated each time your site changes and the sitemap site will help you to track down any issues with it.
