How is Gmail still in BETA???

I have had my account since mid 2004 and its still in beta? How long before they take it out of beta mode? haha

 

Lol, true, the reason why i think they have done that, is because although gmail is very good, it is knowhere near as hotmail is it?
Just as Bing! is knowhere near as good as google

Beta, is just an excuse for, "sorry if our service isnt as good as our rivals, its because we are in "beta", and there is room for improvement"

That is the only reason, to cover up

 

I think you made new themes for our account and that is still running with beta version

 

Probably because they are still working on internal system of gmail onces thats perfect they are out of the beta

Maybe it's like a "Symbol" that they decided to have: always stay in Beta so they show the world that there is always room for improvement

I bet they forgot it's still in beta, maybe its a selling point for them... who knows with the Goog?

 

Gmail is better than hotmail and yahoomail in my opinion. They should come out from beta! Maybe they have more to offer and they are working on it and will surprise us soon!

 

To say Gmail is not as good as Hotmail is rediculous.. Gmail is 100 times better.

 

They are still in Beta as they may want to play safe. But that's quite a long time to remain in beta. Google talk is also in still in Beta.

I Think its a habit of google to put thier products in beta for long even orkut was in beta stage for long.

haha yea i just thought it was kinda funny since I didnt really pay attention to it all this time.
For anything Beta should never last more than 2 years....IMO

It turned out that out of the 49 Google products we could find, 22 are in beta. That’s 45%!

 

OMG if thats true than thier slogan should be... Beta at its best

 

It gives them an excuse to make changes to it as they see possibility for improvement. I think they are still playing with the google chat system.

 

They own the site, cant they make changes to it while out of beta? I make changes to all my sites when I feel the need is there. Maybe I tag all my sites with Beta? haha

 

sorry but personally I think hotmail is much worse.
