I want help in transfering my cpannel host to another cpannel host easily. I truy downloading the backup however when i try extracting it with winrar it says that the archive is not complete so i was wondering if some one has a good way to transfere
You can request your new host to transfer your account. It is easy to transfer a web site from one cPanel to another cPanel server. You will just need to provide the login details of your old host. Kailash
nope, for cpanel to cpanel transfer, you will need the root password of the old server, which if you are on a shared hosting you wont be able to get. You have to move it manually by downloading/uploading the home directory backup.
No it doesn't require the root password of the old server. You can transfer the account using "Transfer an account using account password" option. Your account must be active with old host. Kailash
You do not require root password of both the server. From the WHM of new server, you just need to supply Server IP, domain name, username and password of your old server. If you have created and downloaded a full site backup on your old host, get in touch with your new host, and they can import the backup that you have easily, all you would need to do is supply the backup to them. As stated prior, your new host should be doing this for free.
