Article spinning: How to measure difference from original?

Ok, so I got a PLR pack of articles for a blog, but don't really want to post them as is, so I started looking into article spinning. I've found and implemented a free wordpress plugin to do this. It requires some manual effort to add the various synonyms and changed phrases in the articles, but looks good so far...don't mind putting the effort into it if its working. But I want to know 'how' effective the changes are...and is it changed enough or needs more?

How does one measure the differences in their spun articles from the originals and just how much change is needed to consider it 'new'.
Are there any free tools or sites where you can paste both spun and unspun article to get a number or percentage? If you can't measure it, you can't really manage it, right?

I've read that your article needs to be at least 30% changed to be viewed as original by search engines...true?

I've been trying to find a good free plugin for WP that does that. What's the name of the one you're using if you don't mind me asking?

the dupecop page seems to use something similar to the 'similar_text' PHP function. That isn't what search engines use, of course. For detecting possible plagiarism infractions, copyscape probably does a better job.

I spin and rewrites article as well. I aim for 80% rather than 30%. I bought a software that does the work for me. Although I still have to manually input the rewritten sentences and synonyms. I get better results with the software.

It will be good if you paste the link to the software. I'm sure many people, like me, is struggling to rewrite contents without any help.

As per the OP, there's a free program you can download that will show you the percent of change between two articles. The site is http://www.contentcomposer.com/priority/. It's not my site, BTW, I just use the program and find it useful. You won't be spammed... at least I'm not. The program is very easy to use and shows what parts of the articles are different from each other, too.

It could take a little time. Email isn't always as instant as we would like it to be. :)

Just lemme know one thing. How will I check out, if the person has done 100 articles for me & i need to deliver the same on an urgent basis. If the person has spun 100 different articles, then there are chances that he may get away from it. Or wouldnt he? I mean is there any way, I can catch the person.

Just to update, I've manually spun about 40 articles with this program on a blog...tried copyscape and was coming up with a smaller list of sites. Looks good so far.

Now, I've also come across another wordpress plugin that randomly adds characters in the articles...now copyscape is showing zero, sometimes one or two sites...Great!!

Is this ok to do to help PR??...or will I get penalized by the search engines? It seems to easy, feel like I'm missing something here.

Why would anyone want randomly added characters in their articles? Would this not make it unreadable or at least look weird? I don't think your site visitors would appreciate it too much either.

And, as contentboss posted, you're setting yourself up to get banned by Google. Spin the articles yourself and make them readable. That's the safe way to do it.
