    Hello DPers,

I bought a misspelled word a couple of hours ago and I didnt notice it until now, the domain was from GoDaddy.
Is it possible to have it refunded or atleast changed?

As far as i know, there is no chance of change/refund of domain name.

Only thing u can do is, register a proper spelled domain name. (Additionally you can redirect wrongly spelt domain to correctly spelt domain)

dude, just call them up and let them know a mistake was made, I dunno if it'll work, but it couldn't hurt talking to them.

This practice is not allowed by ICANN any more and not available at Mpnoker too. I think domainers was using it mostly for "domain tasting"

thanks guys, after a bit of researching they all do have return policy but not upfront about it cause of domain tasting..

there is no such thing as NO RETURN NO EXCHANGE POLICY..

Just buy another - good one and have both. Use 301 redirect.

If you brought your domain from Dynadot then you can request grace deletion within 5 days of registration.

You have up to 5 days after registering the domain to cancel it. Seeing that you registered it with GoDaddy canceling it and receiving a refund shouldn't be a problem. It happened to me 2 or 3 times. Just contact goDaddy's billing department, identify yourself and tell them what had happened and that you would like to cancel the domain and have a refund issued. Whoever you talk to should also be able to help you register the correct domain while you are still on the phone with them.

After 1st April 2009, the ICANN rule has changed. No refund even on deletion. No registrar will give you a refund.

the registrar still gets a refund from the registry..however, whether he passes it to its customers or not is not mandated..so godaddy might not refund u a single penny if its not a part of their policy..
