Hey DP, the name's Dave, and I recently made a flash games site using primarily those from 'Armor Games'. I have a bit of traffic so far (maybe 30 visitors in a day), but I'm only getting 2-3 clicks. I was wondering how I could not only improve my traffic, but also make more money from the site. If it helps, I've already sent in my URL to Google, and I'm using Bidvertiser ads. The site is: http://ciphergames.hostei.com/ -- yes it is unfinished!
1) Get your own domain. It takes money to make money. 2) Get shared hosting, I use LunarPages and they work great 3) Start getting into Internet marketing; market each game URL If you are looking to really get your hat in the ring you will have to come up with something innovative. Kongregate has a neat badges system. Newgrounds has the same thing, and they host content that others don't host (a good route to take IMO). Armor games and these two both pay out a lot of money each month to get unique content. You should do the same. Judging from what you have so far I would say you have a long way to go if you want to turn an arcade into something valuable. And it won't be easy considering the competition and the amount of dominance the big three arcades already have. You could save money and do everything yourself if you are truly motivated .
I heard about LunarPages from a friend, and I'm going to be switching to it as soon as I hit about 100 (unique) visitors daily. The domain is included, so I'm holding out on that till then as well. I'll look into the internet marketing -- thanks for the tip . As for games, I'm planning on getting some new developers and offer some money for them, though till I start getting $5-10 a day in PROFIT, I think I'll stick with pre developed ones. The problem with already-made games is that the big guys will beat you in SERPs without contest. You have to think outside the box and do something they don't. For instance, the next time you see a big game come out, see if you have rights to put it on your website. If you do, make a long review of the game on a separate page that links to the game. Also make a tips/strategy/cheats page on another separate page and link to the game. Then do some link building for all three pages. Rinse. Repeat.
You can use CPA to increase the earning. While for traffic,you can do some link exchange with other arcade site.
drop your link on bookmarking sites, and game sites if you can. Look for game forums where you can do link drops. You tube video for a game, yahoo answers, random message boards like 4chan, or iambored I think is one. for monetizing, I'd suggest using CPA
CPA - Cost per action. Google is your friend. The first result is all you need to get started on the basics of CPA. I would say stick with CPM advertisements, however. This will give you money for every thousand visitors to your website. It is the better option when CPA and CPC doesn't work out (which it won't in your case, since arcade traffic is known to not convert) Converting traffic is hard for arcades but not impossible. The major arcades all use cost per click (CPC) I believe, but they also have special treatment from advertisers which you won't be able to apply for.
I am sorry but when I visit your site, the picture isn't appeard. And the text is too small. I think if it is a flash game site, you can make it more lovely.

The picture at the top isn't that important, it's just a banner. The games are available if you click 'strategy games'.
In order to earn good money from your site, you will need to get some decent amount of targeted traffic. The best source of targeted traffic are the search engines. Try to optimize your site for SEs: keep updating your site and keep building relevant backlinks. This will help to increase organic traffic
first you need to have a main domain, not subdomain and target a specific keyword and bring some decent traffic.... then use CPM or CPA.. which converts good for game sites.
