Why do more people use Adsense over YPN?

I know YPN is only available in the US, but a lot of people claim that YPN provides higher cost per click, so why are these same people using adsense. It seems a lot of people reserve YPN if adsense does not work out.

No, Reason is that not everybody have YPN Yahoo is in beta mode right now and its very hard to get accepted and if you do get accepted then you are lucky ;) Earn more $$$$

Cause no one can get accepted unless your a US citizen and they accept you.

I think their ad payment will start to go down when it goes out of beta phase.

    I think it is

    #1. Yahoo YPN
    #2. Google
    #3. Ect.

Yahoo sounds great as you have targeted ads or whateva u call it where you can show the highest paying ads.

I applied for YPN a while back and my site got accepted. The weird thing is that I live in Canada...

Never actually put their ads up though, fearing they wouldn't let me cash out hehe..

I'd apply for YPN but they seem to have draconian standards and, for a brief period of time, banned one their $100k/mo publishers because of a random nudity report (it was an image hosting site). I want a contextual advertising system that values its users. Oh, and they don't accept Australians ;p

YPN hasn't figured out how to figure out the context of a page, so even if their per click is higher, you get less clicks because the ads aren't relevant.

Nudity is clearly against TOS. They happen to catch him and got banned as a result.

I use 90 % Google 10% YPN because the big G ads match content so much better than the big Y. When the ads relate to page content you get more clicks and the advertising ads value to your page. When the ads don't match it's just advertising which people ignore.

Two reasons: YPN is hard to get into (US only right now), and their ad inventory is very small compared to Adsense, so chances are they might not have ads for your site, or if they do, then it's the same dozen or so ads that gets rotated.

Let me just add: on the sites that I do have YPN on? the CPC is through the roof.

YPN is us only and is in beta and is hard to get into
Google Adsense is mostly worldwide, not too hard to get into, and is not in beta. Google is dependable ;)

Yes I think it is because YPN is hard to get into.
