I am using server stats with AWStats, but it just sucks to track visitors with this... I simply need a counter that counts unique and raw visitors per day, referral url's, search engine traffic, ... Any suggestions?
I use sitemeter. Their free program allows you to see the last 100 referrals. You'll need to pay to get more. The free program works fine for me.

Yep. I agree. Statcounter is by far the best free counter on the net. You can have heaps of sites to see all kinds of stats. Best thing of all is it is free.
Yeah but not everyone who wants in can get into Analytics. Why don't people get this through their heads and stop "suggesting" it everytime like anyone can get in? Ridiculous.
Because he asked for the best, not the best that he can get in. If he wants the best then he needs to try and get into analytics. Meanwhile he can try one of the others suggested until then. Should we just not mention analytics at all? I've used statcounter before and yeah it's the best after Google in terms of features but it suffers the same problem most of he others do. It's on some single dedicated server that misses a lot of hits and uniques because of the javascript lagg. You should also consider installing a PHP stats script on your site so you can register traffic locally for your pages.
