I will endeavor to explain a little more. Your usage of that line was inappropriate. It was made worse because you used it to make a false comparison. The point you were trying to show was false, was that white males still dominate the levers of power. But, they do. I think you and I both agree that proper way to deal with that historical disparity that has been diminishing each year is simple market forces. Any outside manipulation is just that - manipulation.

Anyway, back to the point. You were disputing a simple fact. You tried to show that the true fact was false by using the your curious line about Jews owning all power. Since you the very contention you were trying to prove was false was actually true - your comparison falls apart.

So in short you used an old canard about Jews to make a bad point in a losing argument. Although I do not think it reflects your views, it was an odd line to use to make a point.

Actually, that wasn't my tactic, although I was using it for argument's sake, your canard theory is just putting words in my mouth.

I was trying to trigger some of the reaction I saw in you earlier, that it was "offensive" to say such a thing. But since he kindly stopped replying after that post I didn't have a chance to go forward with it.

Why is it offensive? Oh, because they're a poor little minority group? Isn't it a compliment to say your "group" is rather wealthy? But it wasn't offensive when he said WHITE people own most positions of power, was it? Hmmm, why is that?

Grouping white people all together kind of overlooks the minority groups within it doesn't it? You may be white, but if you're an immigrant from Switzerland, you're part of a "minority group". But, you're not exactly poor or little if the color of your skin is white are you?

I used Jews for a reason also, they are a "minority group" that is statistically higher in wealth than other groups. But.. we can't mention that fact can we, because.. they're a minority!

But we can say that white people own everything, even though there are hundreds of variations of minority groups within the group of people we call white. BECAUSE, public schools have brainwashed children for generations now (the same children that are grown up and running the country, sadly) that white people should feel guilty for their history, and that society owes it to all minorities.

Funny thing is, I'm a minority. I'm mostly German, some Irish, some Welsh. That's a rare mix, which in fact makes me a minority.
