Godaddy to Namecheap

Can i push my domain godaddy to namecheap cause on of my domain is need re-new but godadday charging me for $14 the same domain i bought for $7

 

Yup, that's GoDaddy
I don't think you can transfer it for free. The transfer fee to NameCheap is $7.xx if I'm not mistaken.

 

You could transfer your domain out, but try searching on DP for a discount code for godaddy. I recently renewed and was able to save nearly $3 on the domain.

 

that's suck now i thought if you stay with godaddy few years and if your site is really popular then they gonna charge $1000 for a domain

GoDaddy blows. They are right here in town and I have even visited their office. The domain thing? Not that bad, but their hosting is a trap. On a "shared" server I couldn't even run one Mp3, and that is what I do, it is a radio station and music site. They wanted me to buy a dedicated. Dedicated? At 400 bucks or whatever? Wasn't ready for that yet. Just to run one MP3 file? Yeah, OK GoDaddy... You can GO - NOW DADDY! They burned a non-savvy buddy of mine. He just needed a little site and they packed him up with gateways and all kinds of eCommerce garbage that he didn't need. $129.99 a month for a little three page website? Cool!

You know who really tried to trap me though? Yahoo. They had that $1.00 domain thing for "new" clients. The next year was OK at $9.95, then BAM!!!! $34.95 was the next bill I got. See ya... Yahoo.

Honestly? I mean... 14-15 bucks for a property is not asking that much. If you can't put together 15 bucks in a year, then maybe websites are not your bag. There are tons of free web properties out there to blog on, if that is all you want to do. So why pay anything? I have my own stuff because I am running a business, but if all I did was blog I would use free stuff.

Yes you can do this.
If GD don't allow it then,you can file a complain with icann.

 

You can get the domain auth-code for free in domain manager panel.
then you can transfer it to any registrar you want.
But some times registrar will requiring you to renew your domain when you try to transfer in!

 

But remember,if your domain has been expired or is in the last month ,then you can't transfer to anyother registrar except renew domain in godaddy ,and transfer out!
