Terror Names Linked To Doomed Flight AF 447

Two passengers with names linked to Islamic terrorism were on the Air France flight which crashed with the loss of 228 lives, it has emerged.

Debris from Air France flight AF 447 has been recovered from the Atlantic

French secret servicemen established the connection while working through the list of those who boarded the doomed Airbus in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on May 31.

Flight AF 447 crashed in the mid-Atlantic en route to Paris during a violent storm.

While it is certain there were computer malfunctions, terrorism has not been ruled out.

Soon after news of the fatal crash broke, agents working for the DGSE (Direction Générale de la Sécurité Extérieure), the French equivalent of MI6, were dispatched to Brazil.

It was there that they established that two names on the passenger list are also on highly-classified documents listing the names of radical Muslims considered a threat to the French Republic.

A source working for the French security services told Paris weekly L'Express that the link was "highly significant".

Agents are now trying to establish dates of birth for the two dead passengers, and family connections.

There is a possibility the name similarities are simply a "macabre coincidence", the source added, but the revelation is still being "taken very seriously".

France has received numerous threats from Islamic terrorist groups in recent months, especially since French troops were sent to fight in Afghanistan.

Security chiefs have been particularly worried about airborne suicide attacks similar to the ones on the US on September 11, 2001. source

Air France To Replace Speed Sensors

seems like throwing the blame on Muslims now instead of taking the responsibility of these bad sensors!

    don't use air France ;)

since the French secret servicemen were able to know about these two, why didn't they warn air France early?

Of course! Muslims would never try to bring down an airline. The fact two watchlisted muslims were on the flight should be ruled out as a possible cause immediately in favor of other more plausible explanations.

I don't think they should keep throwing this terrorism crap around. Unless they have proof. This is basically a way for them to cover their asses and try to bring the airline out of the limelight.

I think it's a load of BS. The passenger manifest has been known for how long now? And the pentagon has been saying all along that there is no reason to believe it was terrorism.

Just 2 days ago I read it was probably the Pilot sensors. Airbus sent a memo to AF and said they needed to be replaced now. AF didn't get around to it on this plane.

They say the plane sent lost cabin pressure and electrical system failure messages. They were saying there were indication of the plane breaking up in the air. Now they are saying it may have been terrorism?

A load of crap. Air France is at fault. Plain and simple. What are they going to say next? A volcano errupted on it?

I have not heard anyone speculate anything specific with the exception of the media itself. The official findings are usually left until they are conclusive.

planes don't just disintegrate in high altitudes and crash. Nevertheless, not without any S.O.S signals from the captain.

This was man-made. The plane was on the radar and 1 sec later disappeared just like that.
    It was brought down.

I dare not say who is to blame... although there are statistics pointing at a the followers of a certain world religion :)

Unlike the amazing and incredible investigation after the lockerbie terrorist attack which proved beyond any doubt that the Libyans were behind, this time I don't think they will find those who are responsible because it crashed in the ocean.

Tough luck for the Br + Fr people who were on that plane.

If you knew anything about it you would know the entire trial was a sham and you'd know who the real people involved were...i'll give you a hint, they have took a lot of civillian airliners down before.

    That's great.
And the Libyans admitted and paid US$2.7 billion to settle claims because they were forced to by the jewish lobby :)

browntwn if you haven't seen the discovery channel show about the investigation - its a must.
They reconstructed the airplane from its bits spread over 100 km in a hall, and the smoking gun was a piece of the detonation circuit, tailor-made by a swiss company bought by Libyan officials couple of weeks before.

Do you know what Pilot sensors are?

You need to read up on the mechanics of an airbus/any larger passenger plane designed for cross pond flying. The Pilot sensors are these little things that stick out of the plane slightly that help determine the airspeed of the plane by how air enters them. They are heated to prevent icing. If they do ice over, as is quite possible due to the fact that Airbus released a memo to Air France saying they needed to be replaced, and this plane didn't have its sensors replaced like it should have. The sensors could have iced over, which is why Airbus said they needed to be replaced.

If Pilot sensors ice over, it causes the speed reading to be quite off, which has the very real potential to give the wrong speed, which is very deadly.

The pilot was turning around, coupled with the sensors being iced over is a dangerous thing. If you pull too many G's, MUCH LESS than things like fighter planes and bombers, it will cause the plane to break apart. Rapid depressurization of an airplane will cause you to pass out, much too quick for that little handy mask that drops down to be of any use.

This is not a conclusive finding, but, one that is supported by many many veteran (of over 20 years flying across the Atlantic) pilots.

And terrorists bringing down a plane over the ocean serves no purpose. It does no good to commit a terrorist act that no one knows about.

    Think things through.

Which leads me to the following thinking:
How come the term "islamophobia" is term one might hear here and there... however there is no "christophobia", "jewdophobia", "budhismophobia", "hindiphobia" etc'... why is it that Islam and Muslims are the only religion that is feared of, a fear which earned a dedicated word.

Doesn't this alone serve as a "circumstancial proof" that Islam and Muslims are violent?
(also in relation with obamanation's "Is Islam a violent religion?" thread...)
