I am impressed! I really am! Getting goosebumps all over right this minute About the baby thing... Interesting analogy. I was at a house a week ago where a man with Downs Syndrome resides. Right before his evening meal he said this crazy prayer, really ritualistic and loud. The people in the room laughed, but I knew what was happening. I knew that he was closer to God than anyone in that room! So the baby analogy carries a lot of weight. I do think there are people born with bad spirits, however. Just plain bad seeds! I am really intrigued about what I am hearing so far. Anymore out there?
I think as much as you can be a giver or a receiver, a little of both goes a long way. If all you do is give, it's nice to receive once in a while.
OK... Here we go. A "Law" has been introduced into the mix. Good point. "Laws are made to be broken" is the catchphrase used by many. But, it is a law, as you said. The first story I will tell is about "Visualization and Materialization". Does anybody know what that is or what it represents? It's real, that much I can tell you. In my experience I have had it happen many times. Can anyone describe it? What am I talking about?
Agreed. The more you give, the more you will get back; Of course, definitely not in the same proportions but you will get the rewards for giving
In a sense , that is true. In my experience it has to be something that I am meant to have for a specific purpose. Whether a calling or mission I need to complete, or a life lesson. I would generalize and say that it can't be a person, people have free will. You can visualize a material object into existence with some amount of expectation, but attempting to will a person to appear or do anything is not a reasonable expectation. It does happen though. When it does, it generally never works out in your favor. That is left to interpretation though. If this person was part of a life lesson, and you learned from it, then it's all good. So yes, that answer is partially correct.
This is a point well taken. What it relates to is being careful what you ask for. We have heard people say that all our lives... Right? Why would they say that? Our minds can combine in a supernatural way with a Universal thought. What happens is that our subliminal, or subconscious thoughts take everything we decide literally. They have no mechanism to distinguish right or wrong, it is an autonomic (autopilot) system. What we say we want or don't want means the same thing in our subconscious. Even if I say I don't want to do this or that anymore, my mind says "Cool" and it just keeps on happening. That part of our brain thinks we just asked it to do "something" and it complies. If we want to stop an action, we simply quit thinking about it rather than trying to convince ourselves to quit. Replace the thought completely with the opposite, replace it with the thing we really want to do instead. That takes a whole hell of a lot of practice. So... If any of this is true, then we are capable of having anything we desire simply by believing it is reality. The mind will go on autopilot and place us where we need to be at the right time with the right elements. Our job is to recognize that it is happening and take the advantage. Yes Donlin... You are 100% correct. Be careful what you ask for, you will most likely get it! I can tell you stories that are so bizarre that you wouldn't believe it was true. They happened though... To me. For instance, when I was 32 my Father died. He was 57 years old and two weeks away from retirement. I wondered at that moment if that was all there was to life? You work and then die? I was pissed! No way was that gonna happen to me dammit! So I decided to retire at 45. I had no plan, I had no resources. My Dad left me zero dollars and zero.zero cents after he left. I had no rich relatives, no wealthy friends. I was a truck driver with a wife and two kids living in a trailer in Arizona. Real tycoon material, huh? And one day it happened. I retired at 42 not 45. Check in the bank every month and now I do what I feel like doing. I am now 50. I run my little website and manage music artists and I enjoy my life. No boss, no one tells me what to do or when. How did I do it? It doesn't matter, not really. The fact that it happened is the point I am trying to make. There were certain decisions made and the opportunity presented itself. When these things happen for you now, be prepared for them and do what your instincts guide you to do. That is the "Law" factor that another sharp poster mentioned earlier. The Universe is governed by these types of laws, we are not puppets on a string, but part of the Universe that is the Law. Has anyone here had an experience similar to what I just described?
It depends ..do we talk about doing charity or business? Both situations makes you feel rewarded. However, you cannot give, unless you have. The funny thing is that, the more one person has,the less he gives.
That's an interesting point and very often true. The reason is fear. Fear of losing what you have is the worst of the fear emotions and causes people to horde what they have. Other issues like our economic situation today can create that fear also, and rightly so for many of us. Getting back to my main story here: Giving. I have some great stories about this subject, but I wanted to start off with one that we can all relate to, especially today. My wife had lost her job and was having a hell of a time finding a new one. She is in her 50's now, and trust me... Age matters. She was without work for awhile, doing temp work and so on. I am retired, like I said, but we were stretching my dollar a long way and I had no money for my other pursuits under these circumstances. I am a tither. I give money away to people on the street just because I like to, and I have always done this. My wife has never done this and trips out when I pass on my last 20 to some hungry looking guy. But here is the real story... After three solid months of her pounding dirt, I looked at her and said.. "Take this last $5.00 bill in my pocket and I want you to get in the car and go find somebody who looks like they need it. Give it to them with no reservation and do not ask them what they are going to do with it. She said... "Huh?" I said, "Just trust me on this one." So she did that. Over at Home Depot they have those poor fellows looking for work. Two guys that she gave it to offered to do some work, she said no, just get something to eat. Mission accomplished. The very next morning a major restaurant chain called and offered her a manager position. She has NEVER been a manager, only a server! Today she works for an even larger company as a manager making 10 times what she made two years ago with great benefits and upward mobility still ahead. She is in one of the strongest companies in the industry and lay-offs are not on the horizon as far as we can tell. So you tell me friends. I cannot make you believe that there is a God or that he shines on you when you do His work. What I can say is that I believe it and the proof has appeared to me over and over again! Me telling you this will probably kill this thread. I have now told you my philosophy and usually that ends the conversation. But I hope not. There is more I have to say if anyone wants to hear it. I am more interested in what YOU have to say though, to be honest
That's a good idea in theory. I just have never had much luck with polls. People seem to ignore them. I would rather hear philosophy and concepts myself. I like to receive too, that is human nature and nothing to be taken lightly. We were placed here to live in paradise. If you look at the happenings in space, you can really see what a hostile place it really is outside the bounds of Earth. I have a cool story about the Crossroads and where Hell really is. I want to hear more about what you guys believe about the topic though. And nihangshah I like your idea about the poll, but I want to pass for the moment. I also understand your desire to receive! In the end, that is what this exercise is all about. You will see!
I think we're thinking the same thing...which is why we clicked on this thread when we saw the title in the first place...
Which says? Not too much. That is the bane of our society today. We are getting to a place where we let digital imagery and computational algorithms express things for us. People are losing control regarding the faculties of the heart. This was all predicted and described in science fiction years before most of you were alive. And it has become a reality. George Orwell: 1984 is possibly the definitive dystopian novel, set in a world beyond our imagining. A world where totalitarianism really is total, all power split into three roughly equal groups--Eastasia, Eurasia, and Oceania. 1984 is set in Oceania, which includes the United Kingdom, where the story is set, known as Airstrip One. And though off by a few years, it rings true in our world today. There are cameras everywhere, eyes in the sky that can watch you lick a postage stamp, chips that can be implanted, and people who communicate is micro sentences using digital algorithms to express their thoughts. What I am saying is... I didn't understand a damn word you just said.
I read through your incident wherein you helped your wife donate money and got good reward in return almost immediately. Well...it might be a sheer coincidence but I do not believe in helping others with anticipation. You got to have your own inner desire to be helpful and one should do it for inner happiness only. Getting rewarded is a by-product of such exercise but it should not become your goal! Trying to help others, to uplift your misery is something which I would not do. It never works in this manner...is my humble opinion. Do good things for others with sheer intention of helping them, not to help yourself! Regards, RightMan
