Is there anyone here using uniQlicks script to protect their Adsense from clickbombs and all? Won't using uniQlicks violate the AdSense TOS?

Please give your thoughts about it.

    Thanks

Hi, the question you pose is a common concern, and is addressed in the uniQlicks FAQ, but let me answer the point here in more detail.

First of all let me emphatically say that uniQlicks complies 100 percent with the Google AdSense ToS. uniQlicks has been specifically designed to comply with the AdSense ToS. Obviously, there wouldn't be much potential for this service if it were to violate the AdSense ToS, since that would be a cause for the termination of the user's AdSense account rather than the protection of it - and of course the uniQlicks feature SureShield is designed to protect AdSense accounts.

The crucial point is that uniQlicks does not modify the AdSense code IN ANY WAY WHATSOEVER. The AdSense ad unit is served exactly as specified by Google AdSense (and pasted into the box by the user).

Here is the salient part of the ToS:

As you can see, the ToS forbids putting AdSense in frames, so uniQlicks does not frame ads in iframes. There are some trackings scripts on the web that do this, but uniQlicks does NOT frame ads. Ads are served in tables.

What the uniQlicks engineers initially wanted to do is hide the ad after a user clicks on it, using Javascript, to prevent repeated clicking from the same impression. But that would violate the ToS as it says "obscure" (ii). Consequently, uniQlicks does not hide the ad pursuant to a click, and only subsequent impressions are blocked.

I hope this answers your question. If you have any more, fire away.

BTW you may be wondering how uniQlicks can serve ads or track clicks without modifying the code - and that is where a lot of clever engineering comes in. I won't go into detail but what uniQlicks does is an evolved version of tracking scripts that have been around for some time.
