hi shinjiru, what bandwidth in your offer..? I am your customer with 2 accounts. For those who really want "warez friendly" hoster (being told, not sure now?!). I don't have any warez websites. So i particularly concern on that par. This is the one. The speed is a bit slow compared to those on europe or US though. They are reputable and responsive to any problems. Downtime has been here and there especially last few weeks. But everything back pretty fast. I think they now have dc in singapore which is a better choice. Their price are a bit high. So my overall rate for shinjiru is a soft 7/10. I am not related to them. Just would share my experience. In fact no host in the world is prefect. And one thing for sure nothing is unlimited. yeah, they always have some maintenace on their dc which made your sites down for a few hours at least.. It is really sucks.
kum, got a question for you. IF I decided to buy from you and allow users to warez link on the server (as I've been told by some of your support reps) What are you going to do when the government decides they want all my users information like the recent outbreak that happened about a month or so ago where you guys attached drives to alot of users servers who were hosting warez sites/trackers and copying data. And any admin whom deleted the data on the secondary drive and main servers were shut off?
First of all, there is no such thing as us attaching hard drives to copy data. It is wrong to claim that we did it without any truth. Last month, the authorities located a server committed illegal movies download and the authorities have full evidence as they managed to become a member of the site and make a screenshot of everything. We received an official shutdown letter and we have to comply. No data was requested nor released. Take note that we are a neutral web hosting company and wherever we put the server we must respect the laws of that country. However if you go around and broadcast that you have xxxxxx members and proudly claim whatever that you do will never be shutdown, then arent that person challenging the authorities ? Thank you.
Exactly, better do not 'say too much' too proudly in some public forums to provoke any trouble... And kum2020, i got few further questions, what action will you take on the site owner? Will you terminate them straight away? Hand over any info top the authority? For the info, i had been twice suspended last month alone because of overload CPU usage, but i was ok as they unsuspend my account after i requested it and move some high traffic websites to another VPS account. So far so good.. But a bit too pricey(i guest that is the price we pay for good quality 24/7 service) and speed to 'rest of the world' is still lagging. And this is out of their control.
one more thing i would to add here after some thread here, For all the hosters here, please follow shinjiru and some others as example. They answer support ticket promptly and politely even your hosting account is suspended. Unlike some here who only explain thing over the forum. Please explain stuff to the customer and make recommendation for them upgrade. There you can make more business. There some hosts that post extensively here that i will avoid, i will not name names though. There is one particular that are extremely rude towards customer. The point is treat your customer the right way to go. No one word 'nazi-like' reply.. i think i should stop here.. Just so sad when read ppl ignored by their host when difficult times.

This will only happen in critical situation that posses danger to our network such as continuous spamming resulting in IP block blacklisting or criminal activities like phishing or child-porn. Our terms and conditions clearly stated what is not allowed and if this is broken, we have to take immediate action to protect our network. Hand over any info top the authority? >> That has never been our policy to reveal customer’s info to the authority. Through our experience authority required only a shutdown unless it is a criminal case. Thank you.

I'm pretty good friends with one of the people in which you did this to, no illegal files were on the server and he had several emails from you guys claiming that hosting .torrent files were fine and he would have no troubles. Then when he emailed you asking why a second drive was attached to his server and copying users data and he deleted it all you disconnected the server. It was quite a big issue within the torrenting crowd, please don't act like it was something different.

There’re negatives and positives for every company, same applies for Shinjiru. However, I’m amazed by the level of perseverance they have in them to turn as many negatives into positives.
