Hello seo expert, when i see the stats of my site it is showing me :- Unique visitors Number of visits Pages Hits Bandwidth Can you tell me the exact meaning of all these? Thanks in advance!
I mean that when i see the google analytical stats of my site i got page views/pages- visitors/visits- hits, so what is useful hits or visits or pages views? Pls. reply?
Number of visits is probably the most basic one. During the timeframe that you've selected, this is how many visits your site has had. A visit is when someone comes to your site. They might stay for one second and then hit their back button, or they might peruse several pages on your site. If they go away and then come back to your site, that counts as another visit. Unique visits are how many people visited your site during that timeframe. The person who has visited your site many times only counts as a unique visit once. Pageviews are how many times a page on your site was viewed. The visitor who only stayed on your site for 1 second only counts as one pageview. A visitor who clicked around and viewed 20 pages counts as 20 pageviews, but only one visit. All of these are important and give you different information. A lot depends on what you want your website to accomplish. For instance, it's usually considered a good thing if a visitor sticks around for a while and looks at a lot of pages. But if a site is for a local brick and mortar business, maybe finding your home page, getting your phone number and leaving is good news for you. It's also interesting to see whether you have a few visitors that come back often, or if you're attracting new visitors all the time.
Unique visitors - every time a different user come this is a unique visit Number of visits - this is total number of visitors including new and returning ones Pages- number of pages looked at by all visitors. one visitor may have looked at 3 pages another may have viewed 10...so this is the total of all pagesview by all visitors. Hits numner of hits to your website....same thing as visits Bandwidth - internet bandwith of your visitors or your site itself...not sure on that one
